I went into this story mostly blind, with a very general understanding about what the story is about. I was surprised by how much I loved this! This book is perfect for romantasy fans. It’s very well written and has romance in an interesting fantasy world. My only drawback was that the narrator made it difficult to know which perspective the book was on because the voice sounded similar. The book is told with multiple points of view. Great story overall!

A lot to love. I like the cozy cottagecore vibes mixed with high stakes adventure, I love a diverse fae story. I don’t think I liked the twist at the end so much but I will definitely read book two.

When her boyfriend dies, our main character finds herself in the mysterious village of lost things. Story is well written and whimsical, with a funny main character. I liked how she used states instead of swears. It’s a slower start but then the story draws you in. The characters have good chemistry. The narrator is good. 4.5 stars rounded up. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am leaving an honest review.

I truly enjoyed The Parlor and i’m eager to learn what happens next on these characters journeys. It felt kind of like a reverse handmaids tale, a world where women have all the power which was different. I wanted to learn more about the world the men experience and the outside of the bull safe bubble the women live in. I am also eager to learn how the world came to be this way. The narrator was good as well. Looking forward to seeing what happens next with these characters as the story was very unique.
