pretty boring
Revisado: 07-28-16
I won't be reading number 2. this book was boring. I kept having to listen to the same chapters over and over because I didn't quite get them due to lack of interest. this is a story of a little girl who vanishes. there is nothing special about this story. this is the first time I read something from this author and it will be my last.

Loved this Mark Edwards book
Revisado: 07-23-16
I have read 3 of Mark Edwards stories & loved all 3 but I think this is my favorite. It grabbed me and kept me reading for two straight days until it was finished. This is a classic love story with a jealous girlfriend- - you can figure this out by reading the summary. However, this book has a twist in it that I did not expect. Just read the book and you will be glad you did.

Wow!!! Read when the kids aren't around
Revisado: 07-03-16
I loved the book. you have to be able to be able to separate fact from fiction. this is another one of those books that if it was happening in real life, it would be considered abusive towards the main female character. So without giving away spoilers If you can tell yourself, "This is not real," and just enjoy the fantasy, this book is for you. The male narrators voice got a little on my nerves. He wasn't the best. oh well...

BORING!!!!!
Revisado: 06-18-16
I seriously don't know how this book got so many good reviews. this is the third Catherine Ryan Hyde book that I've read. The other two books I loved. I don't know what happened to her writing but this book doesn't even seem like her writing style. there's a couple strange things in the story that I could take you didn't like for example one thing is that he jumps from two different time periods with no explanation. the other thing that I don't like is if there is a baby talk going on with teenagers and with grown men it is very very irritating. there a lot of books that I would read twice this is a book that I would throw away

Great story for 3rd through 5th graders
Revisado: 04-04-16
The performance is one the best I have ever heard. The story is a lesson about different cultures and ethnicity coming together for a purpose. In life, we often have dissagreements that are just misunderstandings. This is what the book tries to show. As an adult, if the performance wasn't so amazing I would be bored. It would be a wonderful book for parents to put on during a road trip or teachers to use for a lesson. Bravo to the narrator's. I bought it on sale and it is definitely worth listening to if it is on sale.

Great classic not so great narrator
Revisado: 03-08-16
This is one of the greatest of all moral lessons about not giving up. If you haven't ever read this story, you have to buy it in hardback and perhaps try this one on audio. Just know if you do the narration is a little flat.

Historia
The police in Jersey County, Illinois, accepted Paula Sims' story of a masked kidnapper who snatched her baby girl, Lorelei, from her bassinet. Three years later, her second newborn daughter suffered an identical fate - and this time the police were unable to stop searching until they had discovered the whole horrifying truth. This is the full terrifying story of twisted sexuality and hate seething below the surface of a seemingly normal family and of the massive investigation and nerve-shattering trial that made the unthinkable a reality.

Awful
Revisado: 03-07-16
The narrator is so bad that I was not able to follow this story at all. I was so lost by chapter 4. It is to bad because I was interested in this true case. I will never buy another book by this narrator
His voice is monotone with no inflections
I felt like fingers scraping on a chalkboard.

A little romance with a great story
Revisado: 03-07-16
The narrator helped the story flow. This was a long book, yet the time went quickly. I appreciated that I was able to jump right into the story ( engaging) and that my attention was kept throughout. This is my first Nora Roberts book but will not be my last.

The witch and her cat fly happily over forests, rivers and mountains on their broomstick until a stormy wind blows away the witch's hat, bow and wand. Luckily, they are retrieved by a dog, a bird and a frog, who are all keen for a ride on the broom. It's a case of the more, the merrier, but the broomstick isn't used to such a heavy load and it's not long before...snap! It breaks in two! And with a greedy dragon looking for a snack, the witch's animal pals better think fast.

Not appropriate for young children
Revisado: 03-07-16
I thought I was going to love this book because I love some of the authors other books but here is what happened. I put this on for two three year olds and I had a hard time engaging them. Lastly there was one part where the witch crackles and they engaged at that point. It scared them so much they had nightmares that night. This book is not appropriate for three year olds that is for sure.
