Great Story
Revisado: 07-17-24
I am going to leave a review for both Hyperion and Fall of Hyperion. This is for the Audible version. One word great. I read alot and this story may be my favorite all time. Great world building. Great character development. Great narration. With action, twists and unexpected turns. IMHO if you liked Dune this is better. The two books together are very long but it is all tied up in the end. Just listen / read them.

Historia
Dr. Tyson Klein is a quantum physicist who has dedicated his entire life to his research. At CERN, he analyses data generated by the Large Hadron Collider, the world's biggest and most powerful particle accelerator. Now, Ty believes he's found a pattern in its output. It looks like an organised data stream, being broadcast over what he calls a quantum radio. Could it be a signal from another universe? A message sent from the future? Or something else entirely?

Expected More
Revisado: 09-26-23
Was expecting more instead got well used plot lines, multiverse, dark overlords, time travel. All strung together in a predictable manner to set up a sequel. The audio performance was top notch, but the storyline was so predictable. I will not rush out to buy the sequel.

The entire Fear Saga was great
Revisado: 06-12-23
I couldn't wait to finish all three books, yet I didn't want to end. Great story, great character development. Many twists and turns and a satisfying ending. I hope the author will eventually write a sequel.
The narrator did an excellent job as well. IMHO he captured all the characters voices well. Really liked this trilogy. I hope there will be more.

just Okay
Revisado: 01-23-23
I have been a fan of Reacher books for awhile and have enjoyed the stories and the characters. This one, not so much. First the narrator was very monotone. The character voices were hard to distinguish, therefore very hard to follow the plot. Speaking of the plot, for me lacked intensity and action. Reacher just seemed to be going through the motions. The ending was a bit of a twist based on how the plot was proceeding. But to me unsatisfying. I really couldn't wait to finish this book. Not because I couldn't put it down. More just to finish and move on. I have not read all the books in this series but won't be going back for awhile.

Every day without fail, Travis Devine puts on a cheap suit, grabs his faux-leather briefcase, and boards the 6:20 commuter train to Manhattan, where he works as an entry-level analyst at the city’s most prestigious investment firm. In the mornings, he gazes out the train window at the lavish homes of the uberwealthy, dreaming about joining their ranks. Very Good Suspenseful Action Mystery
Revisado: 01-09-23
Baldacci I assume is developing a new character for fourth coming novels. Similar to the Memory Man series. Well I loved this novel. Lots of action, twists turns and well rounded believable characters. Narration is top notch. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

Historia
When Amos Decker is called to South Florida to investigate a double homicide, the case appears straightforward: A federal judge and her bodyguard have been found dead, the judge’s face sporting a blindfold with two eye holes crudely cut out, a clear sign that she’d made one too many enemies over her years on the bench. What at first seems cut and dry is anything but: Not only did the judge have more enemies than Decker can count—from violent gang members, drug dealers, and smugglers to a resentful ex-husband—but the bodyguard presents additional conundrums that muddy the waters even further.

Not the Best
Revisado: 11-23-22
I was anxiously looking forward to the next book in the Memory Man series. But I was disappointed. First I loved the past storyline with Alex and Decker. This has been totally written out of this story, and a new partner introduced who does not have the same chemistry. I get it maybe setting up future books but it hurts this book's storyline.
Next the plot. Past books have been well written plots this one borders on unbelievable. Sleeper Russian Spies, implausible murders, even ties to Ronald Reagan. Wow. very substandard. I will not be picking up the next memory man anytime soon.

Not Great
Revisado: 11-07-22
if you are a fan of intricately detailed military fire fights this is a good read. But in my opinion they took too much emphasis in the story. The story as a whole was routine. Elite military unit goes rogue, send in the calvary to stop the bad guys. Okay maybe I can accept this plot line but it was not well written. Important characters appear out of nowhere making the story very hard to follow. There is the obligatory love story which again was not very well written. I am still not sure who was good and bad. The ending was contrived and unsatisfying. There were multiple times when I almost stopped listening. The narration was good which kept me listening.

Murder in Iceland
Revisado: 08-01-22
Okay I will be honest. Not as good as the first book Steel Fear . But still very entertaining. Chief Finn is an engaging main character. Plot was decent, but some twists and saves seemed contrived. Never the less looking forward to the next book. One cool thing is the book is set in Iceland. I enjoyed little tid bits added about the country. Sorry one additional, the narrator was excellent, capturing the Icelandic dialogue well.
