It's all over in a few seconds.

A poor guy who has suffers from mental illness. He is so afraid not to offend anyone, he offends many others.
On one hand he says he respects all all genders, views and religions. He says he celebrates all types of diversity and for you to be you. This are laudable traits. Then he trashes JK Rowling for her views, Donald Trump and anyone who might possibly have a conservative view as a white supremist and neo nazi. This is a typical liberal stance. He only have respect for those who agree with him. I don't hate liberals, but he clearly states he hate conservatives. I wish him luck combating his mental illness.

The Story is great , but...........

The author does a great job in his research and bring the tank crews to life. The story is laid out well, and is very emotional!
My only problem is with the style of writing. The author writing make it seem like he is writing for a 6 year old. I felt that I was being talked down to for 2/3 of the book. The last 1/3 was must better.

This author is all over the place.

The characters are not believable as Police.........all are insecure and worried about them selves. The DCI doesn't inspires confidence in him self or his team. The Author jumps around, the characters don't ask the questions that good detectives would. I had high hopes for this series..............alas.........not.

Narrator’s mispronunciations detracted from the story

Skip the first half of the book.

The authors are not good historians. They padded the first half of the story with some many historical inaccuracies, I was yelling at the book, one example was calling a C47 a Globemaster!
There were so many more I couldn't believe it. The narrator was also infuriating. MIG alley in Korea was narrated as "M" "I" "G" alley..............
A rehash of John Kennedy PT105 experience was unneeded. The authors try to put them selves in Kennedy's' head to draw parallels between PT105 and the Missile crisis. To much speculation on how Kennedy might have felt.
That being said, the 1/2 half of the book about the Missile Crisis was informative. It was covered from both USSR and USA sides in a fair "timeline" fashion.
Note to the authors: Please the next time you write about aviation history during 30's-50's please have your facts checked by an aviation historian. Then I won't have to yell at the narrator!
