Historia
Ambrose Young was beautiful. He was tall and muscular, with hair that touched his shoulders and eyes that burned right through you. The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and Fern Taylor would know. She'd been reading them since she was 13. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never someone Fern thought she could have...until he wasn't beautiful anymore.

Historia
For San Francisco’s newest medical examiner, Dr. Jessie Teska, it was supposed to be a fresh start. A new job in a new city. A way to escape her own dark past. Instead, she faces a chilling discovery when an opioid-overdose case contains hints of something more sinister. Jessie’s superiors urge her to close the case, but as more bodies land on her autopsy table, she uncovers a constellation of deaths that point to an elaborate plot involving drug dealers and Bitcoin brokers.

I didn’t find this book that interesting. In the future, I may give the author another try.

Story vs Narration
Revisado: 05-10-23
Amy Harmon never disappoints! Once again, she has created a story in which I found myself living.
I was surprised at the number of listeners that considered the narration more noteworthy than the story content.
I certainly will be reading/listening to more of Amy Harmon’s work.

Historia
On an isolated Texas ranch, Dr. Lucy cares for abandoned animals. The solitude allows her to avoid the people and places that remind her of the past. Not that any of the townsfolk care. In 1959, no one is interested in a woman doctor. Nor are they welcoming Calvin and Justin Bell, a newly arrived African American father and son.

Good start to finish! I’m hoping in the next book of the series that the relationship between Evan and his neighbor will grow.
Looking forward to reading more.
