I've seen this particular book on audible for quite some time and just passed it by. Mainly because I'm not a fan of apocalyptic Sci fi. But, I should have known that if Ray Porter was involved that it was a good listen. And it was. Excellent Sci fi, world building, character development, alien physiology, etc... Definitly entertaining and heartwarming at times. Ray, of course, gives an A++ performance. But the story keeps your interest, and the dynamic between the two main characters is especially entertaining.

I went in to the book with no real expectations. Just something to pass the time at work. But it turned out to be a fantastic and well crafted story. Give it a listen. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I had listened to a few of Jeremy Robinson's books before finding this series. And as it was a box set I bought it without hesitation. If you're a fan of fantasy, and of ancient myth, this is the series for you.

It would be awesome to see this story adapted into a television show, or a series of movies. The characters are rich and well thought out, and the story is so insanely imaginative, that you won't want to take a break from listening.

R. C. Bray is an excellent narrator. My one complaint is his pronunciation of a few words. But that's a small issue.

Get this series. You won't be disappointed.

This was a very well written three part book. The first part a western, the second a noir detective story, and the third a modern day cosmic horror. It definitely held my attention, and I would, if reading it, consider it a page turner. The narrator stumbles over a few words here and there, but overall does a decent job. This one sat in my wish list for a long time, and I was dubious about buying it. Don't do like I did. Buy it. Listen to it. Enjoy it.

This is the third time I've listened to these books. And they're great. Although you will hear the phrase enzyme bonded concrete repeated numerous times. Lol. But it is seriously a great series. With great characters, and plot lines that weave in and out of it.

John Lee is a superb narrator, one of my favorites actually. The way he crisply rattles off technical jargon is amazing. His character voices are great and is just an overall great narrator.

First off... The narration is great. Can't ask for a better cast. The only failing on the part of the narrators was that the part of Quincy wasn't accented as a Texan except when the female narrator was speaking.

The novel itself is in a prose that I'm not too keen on. All from journals and diaries. And the last part of the novel that has to do with the preparation of the dispatch of Dracula was... So boring. Overall a good book. But it does drag in parts.

I didn't have any expectations for this book. It seemed like it might be interesting, and while I think it could have used a bit more magic in the story, it was a great story nonetheless. The narration was great, and the characters were well fleshed out. A fun listen.

I bought this book on a two for one sale. And it was passingly entertaining, but it's not a great book. I've read a few other James Rollins books in the past, and he seems to have a similar plot in all of them. A team of specialists assembled from all over the world to explore something. The book plays out like a badly written made for TV movie.

The characters were mostly shallow and had ridiculous traits, like Ashley's aversion to guns, even though she knows how to handle them... And it never explained her dislike for them. Or Linda's claustrophobia which made no sense.

The narrator is... OK. But I just finished a book read by Bronson Pinchot who is superb, so it's a hard act to follow.

I don't usually buy audio books that are less than 20 hours of listening time, because I listen at work, and I want something that's going to last. But I'm glad I got this one.

Bronson Pinchot is an excellent narrator. And honestly that's what caught my eye to begin with. But this little novel was fun. If you like monster hunting and paranormal adventure, this is it. And it's such an imaginative plot. I'd already purchased the sequel before I finished this one.

I absolutely love this series. This book is no exception. The writing style of Larry Corria never fails to make me laugh, and sometimes tear up. The way that he effortlessly blends and reinvints creatures of legend is nothing short of amazing. My only complaint is that I wish the books were longer.
