I’ve grown up watching Family Matters since it was on ABC’s TGIF. Jaleel is a master storyteller. He tells the ups and downs of growing up as a child star and what he’s learned throughout adulthood and that you can never stop going after your dreams even when you grow up. Highly recommend!

As a Christian, I’ve always known that these so-called evangelicals were hypocrites. I get along better with non-believers than those who claim to be holy and moral. Highly recommend this book.

Very Powerful and Informative

Roland Martin has always been one of my favorite journalists. This book further proves that. This book is a pamphlet for the understanding of the USA and how and why we’ve became so divided in recent years. It makes sense that fear is in play from bigoted white folks and we must do what we can to fix the problem before it gets worse. If you’re black, white, Latino, Asian, etc, please read this book.

This piece of academia by the pate great bell hooks helps women and men understand the complexities of feminism and how it’s not just beneficial for women, but for men as well. It’s not anti-male in the slightest. It actually criticizes those anti-male feminists as much as those who want to maintain the patriarchy. Highly recommend!

I literally grew up watching Bob Saget whether it was Full House, AFV, or his stand-up later on. He’s always been a great storyteller and his off-brand humor will throw you off-guard and make you laugh. This was a great read and I will forever miss this funny man. This was one of the best books I’ve read all year. The Audible version is great and Will Smith knows how to captivate you with his storytelling. It is long, but I promise you will breeze through it in no time because it’s that engaging. Not only you’ll learn about Will’s life and his journey through his triumphs and struggles, but surprisingly you’ll learn about yourself and take in nuggets to use in your own life. I highly highly highly recommend this book.

Before reading this book, I was expecting another scandalous book about an alleged love affair between MJ and a fan, but once I started listening to the audiobook, I got something different.
I heard a story of a woman who was going through her journey trying make in LA and every aspect of her life led her to her idol, Michael Jackson.
This book not only showcases the relationship shared between Michael and Shana, but also about who Michael really was as a person outside of the game and the trashy tabloids spread about him. This book shows how those who were truly close to MJ knew he was human and, most importantly, innocent.
Thank you for sharing your story, Shana and long live the King of Pop.
