my best advice is to pass on this one. Like many of these tales I don't find it particularly scarey, but this one really hits it out of the park in the gruesome and creepy department. I want to cut this story out of my brain, I'd like to return to a simpler time before I wanted to metaphorically slice memories from my mind. It was a better time in my life, you know an hour ago.

Historia
Traumatized by the bombing of Dresden at the time he had been imprisoned, Pilgrim drifts through all events and history, sometimes deeply implicated, sometimes a witness. He is surrounded by Vonnegut's usual large cast of continuing characters (notably here the hack science fiction writer Kilgore Trout and the alien Tralfamadorians, who oversee his life and remind him constantly that there is no causation, no order, no motive to existence).

Incredible
Revisado: 03-24-16
What made the experience of listening to Slaughterhouse-Five the most enjoyable?
The story itself is portrayed so wonderfully, this was my first Vonnegut and I listened to it in two sittings. I enjoyed it so much I've gone on to read two more of his novels, "Breakfast of Champions" and "Cat's Cradle". I cannot recommend this novel enough
I don't want to give anything away but I will say the story had so many elements and little ideas that have stuck with me, I spent a lot of time referencing concepts from the book when speaking. You know how a story can just resonate with you for some time after reading it, this is one of those.
What did you like best about this story?
The writing style is very unique, the story is hardly told sequentially yet the tale is weaved so wonderfully.
Which character – as performed by James Franco – was your favorite?
The main character, Billy Pilgrim. This isn't really a tale with many other characters you get to know intimately.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
