Best Fitness Coach EVER!!!
Revisado: 07-22-20
I wanna say a HUGE thank-you to coach Jamie for making me actually ENJOY jogging/running! She sounds so friendly and encouraging that it feels like she's my actual friend haha I LOVE HER!
I have a weak heart and had struggled with cardio workouts since I was little, but it worsened as a I grew older and landed office jobs that made me sedentary. I never would have imagined running (or for me, jogging lol) a mile in my life, but I FREAKIN DID IT AT THE END OF THIS PROGRAM! How was that possible lol it's all thanks to Coach Jamie. I'll forever keep this and repeat the program as much as I can ♡

By now you know that getting enough sleep is one of the fundamental keys to overall health and well-being. But, achieving optimal shuteye and truly winding down at night are skills that few seem to have mastered.

Good intention, Bad execution (sorry)
Revisado: 02-12-20
Like pretty much everyone who picked this up, I struggle with sleep. I really hoped this would help me with that. Boy, was I wrong.
My main gripe is the guide's voice. I know this might be purely subjective, but I couldn't take it. She always sounded like she couldn't care less about what she's saying and wanted to just get it over and done with.
In addition, the instructions are so freakin repetitive! Honestly, this could have been just one chapter that can be used over and over, not a series of 7 redundant episodes.
Lastly, there were errors in the instruction themselves. For example, she would say "put your attention on your LEFT.. leg. from your hips, butt, etc. down to your RIGHT thigh, knee, foot, etc. UHM WAT
I love the concept of a meditation for better sleep, but this is NOT the audio guide for that, sadly.

Historia
A middle-aged man returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. He is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock. Forty years earlier, a man committed suicide in a stolen car at this farm at the end of the road. Like a fuse on a firework, his death lit a touchpaper and resonated in unimaginable ways. The darkness was unleashed, something scary and thoroughly incomprehensible to a little boy. And Lettie - magical, comforting, wise beyond her years - promised to protect him, no matter what.

Our Childhood Demons Personified
Revisado: 02-03-20
The thoughts and struggles of the kid were universally personal.
This book took me back and unearthed the pains of my childhood. I could relate to the feeling of not being taken seriously as a child and of helplessness in certain circumstances I had repressed years ago.
Neil Gaiman has done it again. (And his narration reminded me of my grandpa telling me stories when I was a kid.) It was a purely nostalgic experience.

Supplementary Meditation Guide
Revisado: 02-03-20
This is a good supplementary course AFTER you have finished a full-length self-help book or two. I first read “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck” and “The Art of Communicating” before I jumped into this course. In the first chapter, Cameron referenced Thich Nhat Hanh and his teachings (the autor of the second book I mentioned). I was ready to give this one a rating of two stars because I thought she was just ripping off his works. THEN THE GUIDED MEDITATION STARTED.
I have tried ~meditating~ before, or at least that was what I thought I was doing. I failed at it since my thoughts just grew louder as I was trying to quiet them down. Doing it on my own for my first time was a wrong move (TWSS lol). What I had not tried was guided meditation. This course offered me that. My thoughts started to become a lot more organized in my head and on my notebook. I liked that each chapter offers a different variation of meditation or relaxation guide, which is always during the last eight or so minutes – I can easily go back to these guides whenever I want or need them.
THIS COURSE IS A GREAT COMPANION TO YOUR FAVORITE SELF-HELP BOOK. My personal favorite by far is Thich Naht Hanh’s “The Art of Communication” – I still go back to my notes from that book almost daily. Listening to this felt like I was in a retreat. I first attended a seminar by Thich Naht Hanh, then Cameron served as a facilitator of a guided meditation workshop that followed afterwards. It was a great start to my year.
I do not think I would have appreciated this course as much had I not read a few good self-help books prior. It does not stand on its own, at least for me.

After the Final War, after the appearance of the Bug aliens and their enforced peace, Shining Smith is still alive, still doing business from the old scrapyard bequeathed to her by her father. But Shining is now something more than human. And the scrapyard is no longer just a scrapyard, but a place full of secrets. This life she has built, while empty, is predictable and safe. Until the only friend left from her previous life shows up, dead, in the back of a scrapped Tesla warplane. Clutched in her cold fingers is a note to Shining - warning her of a coming attack.

Too much tech jargon
Revisado: 02-03-20
I'm sorry, but this book is not for me.
My main issue with this one is that I found it extremely hard to imagine the setting and the mentioned technological devices in the story. There was just too much tech jargon that I had to look up while listening to this, so it was an inconvenient pause-and-go experience. If you are into futuristic tech or AI, you might like this. Moreover, I was not that invested in the main characters, even - gosh, it pains me to say this - in the cats.
The redeeming factor in this audiobook is the narrator. I enjoyed her impressions of the characters, especially that of Jolene. The accents and the meowing (lol) cracked me up!
