Historia
July 1912. Lady Hardcastle and her tenacious lady’s maid, Florence Armstrong, are enjoying a convivial gathering at the home of their dear friends, the Farley-Strouds. The only fly in the idyllic ointment seems to be the lack of musical entertainment for the forthcoming summer party—until, that is, Lady Hardcastle’s brother Harry calls with news of a murder.

Twists and turns make this such a fun read!
Revisado: 05-28-24
Lady Hardcastle and Flo are at it again. This time we get to see them going through one of their mysterious “missions” first hand! I definitely didn’t see that ending coming! Assassination on the Agenda was just as thrilling and enjoyable as the rest of the series has been, if not more. Highly recommended!

In December 1923, the formidable Dowager Viscountess Dalrymple has decided that for Christmas the family will all gather at Brockdene in Cornwall at the invitation of Lord Westmoor. Her daughter - Daisy Dalrymple Fletcher - is somewhat less than pleased but yields to the demands of her mother, especially as she'll be there just before the holidays working on another article for Town and Country about the estate itself. But the family gathering quickly goes awry.

Lovely book
Revisado: 03-18-21
The book is a wonderful addition to the series. I love that it’s a novel, not a short story, with a Christmas theme. My only complaint is the narrator. Thank goodness there were no Americans in this one, but some of the accents are painful.

Historia
August 1911. Emily Hardcastle and her inimitable lady’s maid Florence Armstrong are enjoying a fine summer until Harry, Lady H’s brother, turns up out of the blue with a mystery for them to solve. A routine parachute test at a local aeroplane factory has gone horribly wrong - with pilot Dickie Dupree plummeting to his death. Harry is certain there is more to this ‘tragic accident’ than meets the eye, having discovered that someone at the airfield is leaking top secret intelligence to foreign rivals.

Wonderful addition to the series!
Revisado: 12-09-20
I love the Lady Hardcastle series, and The Fatal Flying Affair is a wonderful addition! The narrator is absolutely wonderful, keeping the voices and accents consistent through every book. I confess that I have been waiting for this book to be released, and downloaded it the moment I could. This book is a delightful mystery, sans-gore. Highly recommended!

Historia
What's the best way to purge an unfaithful husband? Become a spy for British Intelligence, of course. Desperate to get out of London, and determined to help the war effort and stop thinking about her philandering husband, Fiona Figg volunteers to go undercover. At Ravenswick Abbey a charming South African war correspondent has tongues wagging. His friends say he's a crack huntsman. The War Office is convinced he's a traitor. Fiona thinks he's a pompous prig. What sort of name is Fredrick Fredricks anyway? Too bad Fiona doesn't own a Wolseley pith helmet.

Couldn’t get past the fake accent.
Revisado: 05-20-20
Seems like the story is great, but I couldn’t get past the narrator’s fake accent. She morphed from British to Old Hollywood to even a little Scottish turn now and then. I’ll be checking out the physical book to see how I like it, but I couldn’t finish the audiobook.
