Informative, revealing & honest... with a tinge of

It's an excellent book with a lot of revealing information, even for many Pakistanis. The author is clearly a subject matter expert on everything newsworthy about Pakistan. However, I have taken away a star for the condescending tone used much too frequently for my liking and a bit if racism or cultural bias trickled here and there (for e.g. the word "Jihad" only being referred to with its violence related connotations and the word "crusade" being used for perseverance , i.e. positive connotations).

I would have loved it even more if the author's resentment on being deported out of Pakistan had not reflected in his book so blatantly, which makes the reader doubt his impartiality to some extent.

The narration was just OK and would have been much better with a South Asian narrator, who would have been able to pronounce all the words correctly.

A Masterpiece!

This book is a work of art. Credit to the author for not just relying one resources from one side, but from all parties involved, as he always does. As this is told like a story, it is joy reading and/or listening to it. I plan on reading/listening to this again.

A phenomenal book performed brilliantly

An amazing story of perhaps the Greatest Champion the world of sports has ever seen. Muhammad Ali was larger than life and an inspiration for many generations to come. A Great Champion, a Great Muslim and a Great Human being.... he truly did personify Greatness. We miss you, Champ!

A Great Introduction

A great introduction to the works of Ibn Sina (Avicenna), Al Ghazali and Ibn Rushd (Averroes). But this is just the starting point to put you on your path to learn more about the works of some of the greatest minds in human history.

A Masterpiece!

It's amazing how world history books are usually about European Christian history and skip over the Golden Age of Islam, which happened while Europe was in its Dark Ages. A book that all Muslims and Non-Muslims should read.

This is in no way a complete detailed history of Islam, but rather an introduction to Islamic History. Feels like an amazing preface to a more detailed history book that I would love to read one day, if and when it comes from the same author.

A beautiful book on the true Soul of Islam

I truly loved listening to this insightful book. This is the Islam I grew up with, the Islam I was taught in school and at home, the Islam I've always known.

Thank you for reminding us of our true values, the ones we need to continue to adhere to as a community.

Surprisingly Good!

This turned out to be significantly better than I expected. Had a great time listening to this amazing book and really enjoyed Cranston's performance. His second best work of art after Breaking Bad.
