A lovely surprise!

Teaching Kids About Money; is full of useful and beneficial information for teaching your kids of any age, about financial literacy. Ms. Reese shares her experiences as a mother teaching her boys, from age three through eighteen how to be responsible and helpful members of society, through lessons about money. There is also a section on entrepreneurship toward the end of the book.
It's a lovely book, and I will implement some of her strategies with my daughter.

I have seven weeks to meet and marry a human woman. If I don’t, I will lose my position as Commander of the Alliance Force. Since I took command, my attempts to meet eligible women have been disastrous. Lev, our resident anthropologist, has suggested I attend Oktoberfest in Munich. His rationale is that I like beer and the comradery of dancing and singing and will be surrounded by women who also enjoy the same activities. I always advise my officers to mingle with humans at their festivals.

I was really surprised that I enjoyed this book so much. Alma Nilsson is an excellent writer, and I have "read" around 4 of the Alliance Holiday series...so I was familiar with the character of Commander Fox. He always seemed gruff and too serious.
What a beautiful and joyful surprise! Every character in this book was fully thought out. It's humorous, witty, heartfelt, and exciting. Best of all, the femme love interest, Helga is an intelligent woman! Not just book smart, but she is emotionally intelligent. She cares for others than herself. This could easily be converted into a film or a series. I really hope Ms. Nilsson will write more about this couple.

I attended a Halloween party in New Orleans with another officer from the Alliance Force. We all need to find wives, and costume parties are some of the best places to meet human women as they think our grey skin is a part of our costume. At this All Hallows’ Eve party, I met Ivy. We talked and then exchanged contact information. Not a day goes by that we don’t communicate with each other. She’s the most wonderful woman I’ve ever met. But the problem is, she thinks I’m human.

A great story, but...

I really enjoyed this book, like I have others by Alma Nilsson.
There are only two things that I personally have an issue with.
The first, is the voice actor for Sem. While he is very good, he sounds too old, like a man in his 40s-60s. The character he is voicing is 32. It just doesn't work for me. I'd happily listen to him do an older character.
The last thing would be Ivy. She is an extremely annoying woman. She constantly complains about everything. She behaves like a spoiled, self-righteous teenager. Yet, has no valid reason for any of this. It can't be explained away by her upbringing or wealth, she just, yuck. I kept hoping she'd die.
Overall, I enjoyed the writing, as usual.

Tei and Tove

The story of Tove and Tei is like a Hallmark holiday film with an erotic payoff at the end. I do enjoy Hallmark films, btw. I compare these two as Tove is a bit annoying, like most of the female leads in those films. It's a wonderful story like Ms. Nilsson's other books, but it wouldn't be one that I re-visit. The voice actors are wonderful.

Married to the Alien Doctor is the third book that I've enjoyed from the Renascense Alliance Series. As expected, Alma Nilsson's writing is fantastic. Fleshed out characters, a full range of emotions, a wonderful storyline, and spicy goodness. I felt that this book had more worldbuilding than others in the series and made it easier to innerstand what the planet and culture are like. Best of all was the choice of Jill Smith as voice actor/narrator. Jill's range of vocal talent is fantastic. The portrayal of Ket is sooooooo sexy that I will be re-listening to this book.

Most definitely, everyone knows, the Alliance never takes prisoners. Once onboard, the crew of the Dakota are casually informed that human women from the crew are now shockingly considered to be Alliance citizens by the Empire. Moreover, they will be returning to the Alliance homeworld.

Very Spicy

This is the second book by Alma Nilsson, that I have enjoyed. Her writing is fantastic and keeps me coming back for more. The characters are strong-willed and not at all self-deprecating; which I find is common in a lot of romance/erotic novels. Speaking of erotica, it was very spicy. The description of what they were doing and how the voice actor performed the material.... no complaints here.
