Historia
Elwood Blues (aka Dan Aykroyd) is on another mission—to tell the full story of how two young actors went from blues lovers to Blues Brothers. In this fascinating audio documentary Aykroyd “gets the band back together”, taking listeners on a road trip through time—from late nights in the early days with John Belushi at Dan’s speakeasy in Toronto, to working with blues legends Aretha Franklin, James Brown, and Ray Charles on The Blues Brothers movie, through the founding of House of Blues, the Blues Brothers 2000 sequel, and beyond.

Bennett!
Revisado: 06-19-24
After the Plague is just a teaser for other Mike Bennett works. Definitely check out the Blood and Smoke series. Mike’s writing style, his humor, his character development, and sense of suspense rank up there with the great writers of our time. Add that to his ability to narrate and you have some top rate audio entertainment.

Enjoyable Story with issues
Revisado: 08-22-23
I am a big fan of Ray Porter but obviously a proper British bloke would have been better for this part.
I am enjoying the time traveling plot line but I’m struggling with wishy-washy love story and flimsy emotional takes of the main character. He annoys me often but I’m hanging in there for now. On to Book 3…

Not for the faint of heart or feeble of mind. It’s clear why it took 20 years to write. It certainly isn’t uplifting but an unrivaled plunge into the deep end of the extraordinary minds. Makes me glad I’m a simpleton and has me deep diving into the history of violins.
