I loved this latest William Boyd novel. It combined history with fiction in a wonderful narrative. I didn’t want it to end. Beautifully narrated.

Would you try another book from Kate Morton and/or Caroline Lee?
I have read Kate Morton's other books but found this one to be long winded and the prose cliché and over flowery.
What didn’t you like about Caroline Lee’s performance?
It was dreadful and put me off the whole book. The accents were all wrong. Speaking in a flattened vowel Australian accent didn't fit with the main character and the Cornish accents were off as well. Really distracting from the story and sounded put on and false.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
This was one of the most irritating audiobooks I've come across. I had to speed up the performance so as to get to the end faster. Its not really a 'who done it' or a mystery and I really found it tedious and repetitive. Perhaps better suited to reading rather than listening.

Very annoying narration

Story was quite good and kept up ones interest but I couldn't quite get past the over done narration from Jilly Bond which was most irritating and detracted from the entire experience.
