I was in the Facebook group years back and listened to his podcasts. At the time, I thought his words were gold! As time went on, the Facebook group started getting more strict and less personal or empathetic to those struggling. Now, he has seemed to make the whole thing into a money-maker. I agree with one other reviewer who said he likes to hear himself talk- many times in this book, he was using "examples" going on and on, and all I could think is "Okay, you've made your point, please move on." Going into the website, there are other classes you could take which now cost money (when before, they would have been in the podcast for free). Basically listen to his free podcast but more importantly, read Claire Weekes book- it's the same principles you're following, just less "fluff" you have to listen to.

Shame might be far from the first thing that comes to mind when you think about what's causing your problems. Shame is hidden, and rarely something we talk about, but it can underlie challenges that we deal with on a daily basis, including anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. This audiobook will help you understand what shame is, how it arises and, in turn, how to overcome it. With exercises in each chapter, it provides tools to reflect on, confront and free yourself from shame. The audiobook also includes a questionnaire to assess how much shame impacts you.

I'm not sure if it was because it was an audiobook and I couldn't see the pages in front of me, but while I was listening I felt as if it just contained examples of shame. It would name people and quote them talking about something they're ashamed of. Okay I get it, I'm ashamed. But what now???
