Revisado: 09-11-21
I don't know what happened, or what made this happen, but when you hit the month of September, the Morning (only) readings do not follow along with the book. At first, I thought it was the book. As I read while listening, I listen to this, while reading along with the modern English translation by Alistair Beeg. They weren't following together at all in the Morning Section. So I purchased an early copy of Morning and Evening in the original old English translation. Guess what? The WRITTEN BOOKS followed together very nicely. On the Morning Section of (so far) September, the audio book does not follow EITHER of the written books. I NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS VERSION OF MORNING AND EVENING. If there is no other version, wait till something better comes along. Christopher Glen is overrated anyway.

Listen to the New Testament (NKJV) read in its entirety by music legend Johnny Cash. After 20 years of encouragement from his mother to record the Bible, he approached the recording of the New Testament with "fear, respect, awe, and reverence for the subject matter." Cash added, "I also did it with a great deal of joy, because I love the Word." Enjoy listening to one of the most distinctive voices of our time in this wonderful audio edition of the Word of God.

Not really very theraputic. More like getting a lecture from Mr. Clean. The goal of the author seemed more judgemental than anything else. I feel like I was lectured by a member of Westboro Baptist Church. 😕

Olson turns her razor sharp vision on the Clintons' shocking excesses in their final days of office: the outrageous pardons to political cronies and friends; the looting of the White House; the executive orders that were sheer abuses of presidential power; the presidential library that is becoming a massive boondoggle of vanity more appropriate for a Third World dictator; and much more.

Revisado: 11-03-16
This was released back in 2001, but if you didn't know any better, you'd swear that the last chapter which is on Hillary was written yesterday. And whether they'll admit it or not, the Clintons, the first Grifters in the White House, have once again turned papers like the New York Times, The Washington Post, and The San Francisco Chronicle into supermarket tabloids.

Revisado: 12-18-15
Would you try another book from Ted Cruz and/or Ted Cruz and Jason Culp ?
Why should I? Unless I'd want a fantasy novel.
What could Ted Cruz have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Tell The Truth. Back in 2013, he said he was FOR amnesty. NOW he's saying that he's never been for it. Which one's lying? Him? The VIDEO in which he's attempting an amendment to the gang of 8 bill? Which one is it?
Would you be willing to try another one of Ted Cruz and Jason Culp ’s performances?
NO!!!
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Time for Truth?
I wouldn't have published it, and especially with that title.
Any additional comments?
I wish I had never purchased this.

Historia
Over the last 500 years, blood-red moons have fallen on the first day of Passover three separate times. These occurrences were connected to some of the most significant days in Jewish history: 1492 (the final year of the Spanish Inquisition when Jews were expelled from Spain), 1948 (statehood for Israel and the War of Independence) and 1967 (the Six-Day War). Every heavenly body is controlled by the unseen hand of God, which signals coming events to humanity. There are no solar or lunar accidents.

Antiquated beliefs on the Antichrist.
Revisado: 04-03-15
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Going to the last great empire (Byzantine - Ottoman) instead of the traditional Evangelical interpretation (Roman, although true Historians refer to it as the Greco Roman Empire). I left a church because of that (what I consider) blasphemous interpretation, and cheap shot at the Roman Catholic Church. After I heard Walid Shoebat, and Chuck Missler's explanation my spirit, and the Holy Spirit started agreeing with each other.
What could John Hagee have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Cut the false teaching about the Roman, which at the time was the Greco Roman Empire. Because the empire of the Ottomans didn't really appear until 700AD, most of these Evangelicals wont recognize it as an Empire, but they SACKED most of the Roman Empire (Charlemagne of the Byzantine Empire Sacked some of the Western half). Then the Crusades sacked the Ottoman Empire. What started as defensive became offensive, killing not only Muhammadans, but Jews. So stop with SPECULATION.
What three words best describe Dean Gallagher’s voice?
normal, ok, understandable
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
If I hadn't heard about the 4 moons from a couple dozen Rabbis, that would have been the redeeming value.
Any additional comments?
I couldnt remember WHY I quit CUFI for Joshua Fund. Now I remember.

Historia
Originally published in 1944, The Road to Serfdom has profoundly influenced many of the world's great leaders, from Orwell and Churchill in the mid-'40s, to Reagan and Thatcher in the '80s. The book offers persuasive warnings against the dangers of central planning, along with what Orwell described as "an eloquent defense of laissez-faire capitalism".

The topic is great, but the narrative is DRY!!!
Revisado: 08-18-14
What would have made The Road to Serfdom better?
Not including footnotes in the narrative (perhaps having footnote glossary on a pdf file).
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
He probably wouldn't be as dry as Ben Stein? I don't know. I've never heard Ben Stein narrate a book. For a political comedy, It may be hilarious (He was the only one I liked in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", and I still watch him on Cavuto on Business).
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of William Hughes?
Christopher Hurt, or Scott Brick.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
apathy. I don't really think that's what Hayek was going for
Any additional comments?
I could only get through half the listening, and had to quit.

Millions of people have thrilled to best-selling authors Bill O'Reilly and historian Martin Dugard's Killing Kennedy and Killing Lincoln, works of nonfiction that have changed the way we view history. Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor details the events leading up to the murder of the most influential man in history: Jesus of Nazareth. Nearly 2,000 years after this beloved and controversial young revolutionary was brutally killed by Roman soldiers, more than 2.2 billion human beings attempt to follow his teachings and believe he is God.

Killing Jesus... Jesus O'Reilly Factor Style
Revisado: 03-13-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
More in-depth study. Although there were quite a bit of References that were great about the Romans, There was NOT enough studies on the Israelis. Even though he talks about the Tanakh at the beginning of the book, he clearly only refers to the Torah, and completely disregards both the Nevi'im, and the Kethuvim. Also, he completely disregards the Talmud (a/k/a: the Babylonian Talmud) which is primarily what the Pharisees were following at that time. It's clear to see that O'Reilly, and Dugard spent less than a year in research for this book. The only reason that I give it two stars is because people will be introduced to Jesus, and (hopefully) be given the incentive to dig deeper. Considering that I was brought to Jesus through "Jesus Christ, Superstar", that's not saying much.
Has Killing Jesus turned you off from other books in this genre?
Let's just say that I'm debating about getting his WWII book when it comes out. He's reduced the entire time of Jesus into the O'Reilly Factor.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The author was the narrator, thus making it sound more like the O'Reilly Factor.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I learned a little about Roman history, but I'm sure I could have gotten it better from Gibon, and / or Josephus.
Any additional comments?
This is 6 hours that I'll never get back.

The interaction of Richards, and Depp didn't stop.
Revisado: 10-03-13
Where does Life rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
His chapter on his 5 string open G tuning was worth the price of admission alone. Very informative, insightful, and (as a guitarist) inspiring. It was nice to know that I managed to F**K Up my life with the best of them, and that I'm not alone.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Outside of Keith (which is why I bought the audio book in the first place), probably Woodie (Ron Wood). Both incredible on guitar.
What does Johnny Depp and Joe Hurley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Lets face it, Jack Sparrow (by all accounts) was Keith Richards, and they've been kindred spirits ever since.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
LIFE of a Stone, a guitarist, a junkie, and a person.
Any additional comments?
I just genuinely enjoyed this book. It's interesting to know how some of the Stones songs came to be written. I'd rate it a strong R, but I don't regret listening to it. From the first chapter, you know that you're in for a bumpy ride, so fasten your seat belts.
