First Account of Her Story
Revisado: 08-23-24
I like the message, but I felt like the delivery was flat. Like a painting between two artists where one painter shows more affection and more depth, and one is just straight lines and not as heartfelt to the viewer. I believe the book would be better because the story is in her words and tells how she became a believer.

Historia
The most popular and beloved American historical novel ever written, Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind is unparalleled in its portrayal of men and women at once larger than life but as real as ourselves. Now best-selling writer Alexandra Ripley brings us back to Tara and reintroduces us to the characters we remember so well: Rhett, Ashley, Mammy, Suellen, Aunt Pittypat, and, of course, Scarlett.

Long and drawn out
Revisado: 01-23-24
Too many words. This Historical fiction tale could have been better, in my opinion, without so much fluff.
I kept fast forwarding to eliminate what became redundant.

Historia
Although best known for creating the spirited Anne Shirley, L. M. Montgomery had a thriving writing career that included several novels and more than 500 poems and stories. This collection brings together rare pieces originally published between 1900 and 1939 that haven’t been in print since their initial periodicals.

Not my favorite
Revisado: 10-30-23
I was so excited to listen to these stories, it’s just comforting to hear L.M. Montgomery’s voice coming through loud and clear.
The stories are slightly redundant,
And though I love the history of new found stories, they aren’t my favorite. I will return this because I do not want to listen to it over and over, like I do a Anne of Green Gables series.

Best Narration
Revisado: 11-27-21
This is hands-down,the best narration of Anne Of Avonlea! Audible needs to be forthright about this being an abridged version. That is why overall I gave this three stars. Honesty is always the best policy.

Historia
Austen wrote, 'I am going to take a heroine whom no-one but myself will much like' and thus introduces the handsome, clever, rich - and flawed, Emma Woodhouse. Emma is perfectly content with her life and sees no need for either love or marriage; nothing however delights her more than matchmaking her fellow residents of Highbury. But when she ignores the warnings of her good friend Mr. Knightley and attempts to arrange a suitable match for her protegee Harriet Smith, her carefully laid plans soon unravel and have consequences that she never expected.

Outstanding!
Revisado: 10-31-21
I am a Jane Austin fan, through and through. However, I have never liked Emma’s self-absorbed and selfish nature.
After listening to this adaptation, I understand Emma and love her! This is an unrivaled recording of any Jane Austin novel.

Historia
The Cuthberts had decided to adopt an orphan - a nice sturdy boy to help with the farm chores. The orphanage sent a girl instead - a mischievous, talkative redhead who'd be no use at all. She would just have to go back. But ever since Anne arrived, no one could imagine Green Gables without her.

Listening to Megan Follows narrate this story is such a joy. I could never get enough of her in the made for TV movie back in the 80s. She is a gifted storyteller: One I can listen to over and over again.

Historia
Once upon a time there was a version of our faith that was practically...irresistible. But that was then. Today we preach, teach, write, and communicate as if nothing has changed. As if “The Bible says it” still settles it. It’s time to hit pause on much of what we’re doing and consider the faith modeled by our first-century brothers and sisters who had no official Bible, no status, and humanly speaking, little chance of survival. What did they know that we don’t? What made their faith so compelling, so defensible, so irresistible? Buckle up...you’re about to find out.

Disappointing.
Revisado: 06-14-18
Sadly, you cannot choose what Book of the Bible you want to listen to, which makes it useless to me. For instance, if you want to Daniel 1:2, it is not possible. You must listen to the whole thing. Had I known I could have returned it after I purchased it, i would have done so.

Historia
From the New York Times best-selling authors of America's First Daughter comes the epic story of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton - a revolutionary woman who, like her new nation, struggled to define herself in the wake of war, betrayal, and tragedy. In this haunting, moving, and beautifully written book, Dray and Kamoie used thousands of letters and original sources to tell Eliza's story as it's never been told before - not just as the wronged wife at the center of a political sex scandal but also as a founding mother who shaped an American legacy in her own right.

History made Real
Revisado: 06-08-18
Fact and fiction woven together so skillfully that I was constantly delving into what facts I could find on-line. This story shows a whole new face of Thomas Jefferson and many of the founding fathers. Little has changed in the way politics play out in our world. Very thought provoking. Well Done Ladies!
