I wanted to like it because I loved the first one,
Revisado: 06-06-18
I wanted to like it because I loved the first one, but there was SO much repetition! Yes, we all know that you are there to solve the Bath mysteries. Yes, we've established you don't trust that guy. I found myself groaning out loud at times. Very disappointing.

Historia
There is a hidden garden bordering the grounds of Jane Steward's book-themed resort - a garden filled with beautiful but deadly plants such as mandrake and nightshade. Tucked away behind ivy-covered walls and accessible only through a single locked door, as described in the pages of Frances Hodges Burnett's classic novel, the garden is of special interest to Jane's current group of guests, the Medieval Herbalists.

very very very corny
Revisado: 11-06-16
Did I say it was corny? And predictable. And lots of flowery writing. I have enjoyed others by Adams, but not this one.

Love the Lavender series!
Revisado: 10-30-16
So interesting and exciting! I loved all the subplots and the way the puzzle fell into place with all of them at the end. I can't wait for the next one to come out as an audiobook!

Historia
At the winter solstice, South Mardian's swordsmen weave their blades in an ancient ritual dance. But for one of them, the excitement proves too heady, and his decapitation turns the fertility rite into a pageant of death. Now Inspector Roderick Alleyn must penetrate not only the mysteries of folklore but also the secrets and sins of an eccentric group, including a surly blacksmith, a domineering dowager, and a not-so-simple village idiot.

My least favorite Marsh. I usually love her books, but found this one hard to follow and not as interesting.
