Although I (still!) have not started the Laundry Hag-series, The Damaged Goods-series is one of my favorites. I did not matter that I did not know Maggie in advance as it was easy to get into the story.

The story is told in alternating chapters from Maggie and Jackie's POV. They both need a distraction. Maggie from her pregnancy and Jackie from her failing marriage and her thoughts of Logan. They team up to find the Santa burglar that robs houses so close to Christmas.

Those two women are a hoot and I would love to read another adventure about them. But I also loved hearing more about Jackie and her two Parker men. It is such a difficult triangle and my heart was crying for all of them.

I must say that I ship Jackie/Logan like crazy!

Jackie and Luke are divorced but still working together - and her mom's boyfriend John - at Damaged Goods. She has not seen Logan ever since Christmas, and when she does it is not as she expects.

In danger after a gruesome discovery in one of the rentals, Logan kidnaps Jackie to a safe place and adventure ensues. There is a shocking twist I did not see coming!

I was fortunate to get an Audible code for a relaxed listen. I read the book a couple of years ago and it was quite nice to be with Jackie again!

Jackie and her husband are having some troubles in their marriage as they try to figure out how to be together after he has been deployed for most of their 7 year marriage. And there is also Logan, her brother-in-law....

There were so many great moments. Jackie is always a target when their crew is trying to handle the property-management cases. Sometimes hilarious....
But what is going on with Luke, and their marriage. Does she know Luke as well as she thought?

I read this book in 2017. I love this series. And I was fortunate to get Audible codes so I could enjoy this again. The narrator is really good!

I read this book in 2015 but during recovery from an operation I decided to listen to my audible version. The narrator does a good job.

I love this series and highly recommend.

Where does Eat, Pray, Die rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Mmm, it's my first! So that would rank it at the top...

Who was your favorite character and why?

Izzie ofcourse. She is great!

What does Nikiya Palombi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Difficult question. I actually like reading better as that is much faster. But, if that is not an option, this audio book is the best. I disliked her voice of Connor at first, but it grew on me.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I love this book. It's meant to be funny so no, I did not cry.
