Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Historia
In a defensive and divided era, how can followers of Jesus reveal a better way of living, one that loves others as God loves us? How can Christians be the kind of people who are known, as Proverbs puts it, to "turn away wrath"? Scott Sauls' compelling new book shows Christians how to become people of "a gentle answer" in a politically, relationally, and culturally fractured world by helping listeners grow in affection for Christ, who answers our hostility with gentleness.

The story of what happened to Flashman, the caddish bully of Tom Brown's Schooldays, after he was expelled in drunken disgrace from Rugby school in the late 1830s. This is the first of George Macdonald Fraser's hilarious satires starring Harry Paget Flashman.

Cultivate, get skills, grow abilities, or die. His old life, as a combat medic, had been hard, but he had learned some valuable lessons. And he wasn’t alone. His best friend, a marine recon sniper, like always, was right by his side. Could they figure out this fantasy world? What does it mean to ascend? How will they master the magic of this strange place?

This book is pretentious. It uses flowery language, but plot and character development depend on macho posturing and violence. Predictable stereotypes about veterans, victims of assault, and people with autism bring the book down.

Historia
The survivors have come to settle in the mountains of Wyoming, fighting day in and day out to establish a home for themselves in a near-empty world. Things are good at first; scavenging is a workable, short-term solution that seems to be providing all they need. But they know that it’s only a matter of time before the food runs out. They need to scramble to find a sustainable solution before the clock stops, and for a little handful of people up in the mountains, the odds don’t seem very favorable.

Disappointed
Revisado: 05-14-18
I enjoyed the first book. So I was very disappointed by this book. While the plot was still pretty good the dialogue was obnoxious. Also, the character development was nonexistent, so much wasted time with very little content.
The chase scene at the end was so stupid, much of the book is carefully realistic, so its jarring to have so much of the action be comically unrealistic. No way a group would continue the chase after so many losses, why would then not just put down road spikes? putting a scope on a rifle in a moving trailer come on...
Please take more time with the next book, also the preview seemed to foreshadow a charachter from King(trashcan man...), please dont go down that road. Develop characters not silly scenarios.
Really enjoyed the first one,

Really enjoyed the first few books, but this one was just not as good. Too much talking , very little of the descriptions of the world and character development that made the first books so good. Please slow down and take time writing the next one.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.
