I lost count. So much filler and a lot to do about nothing. I wasn't on the edge of my seat until the last hour or so. This is nowhere near as good as the previous one.

I don't know where to start. I agree with all the other 1 and 2 star ratings. There was so much filler. It could have been 3 hours shorter, if not for the extra, unneeded explanations. I like Ari as a narrator for some other titles but not for Dewey. And for such a scary storyline, it didn't keep me on the edge of my seat, like all the others did. I listened to the whole thing so I'm not asking for a refund, but it wasn't worth the credit spent.

The most Flynn-like yet!

I think KM went back and re-read the Rapp series. In this novel Rapp was finally the main character. This story was not overly complex. Not too many characters. Had political intrigue, with Rapp coming out on top. Awesome!

KM's best Rapp novel yet.

Why isn't Greaney writing Mitch Rapp?

Greaney is up there with the best of them. And stepping out of the Gray Man series with something likes this proves my point. As much as I like the Gray Man series, this is Greaney's best writing yet.

I'm only half way through and I can't stop listening. Greaney is the man.

And for the 10th time, he should be writing the Mitch Rapp series.

Can't forget the narration...perfect!

Falling into same trap as Rapp

Remember the first few "The Gray Man" novels? They were "all" about Gentry. Then the author started to add new characters and more in-depth stories with many different moving parts. There would be nothing wrong with it if the main character remained the main focus. Mission Critical lost focus on Gentry.

The Mitch Rapp series has sadly gone down this path to the extent that Rapp is just a cog in the wheel of the story. I see the same thing emerging with this series.

MG is one of my favorite authors so I hate to criticize. An example of a story that has stayed true to the character's focus is Ben Coes' Dewey Andreas novel series. And every book is as good as the last one.

15 chapters into it and very bored.

No suspense. No action. Just a half monster half human running around eating people.

I've listen to all extinction books twice and loved them. Having trouble with this one though.
