Historia
Many of us lived previous lives as keepers of sacred knowledge that was taught in the ancient mystery schools. Much of this knowledge was lost through time due to disasters and destruction or death. The knowledge was reserved for a select few who devoted their lives to understanding and teaching it.

Mixed historical trajectory
Revisado: 08-31-24
A lot of the past history gives much to consider and quite a bit of it is corroborated in this work. Some parts cannot be. New esoteric Christian material, if found, in the south of France would, I'm sure, align with this work. However, the positive impact of the Obama Presidency may not be so positive now viewed from the future. My conclusion with that would be hero worship that pigeon holed Delores' views there. I will let it go for now. Moving further into the future will reveal more, better or worse.

Challenging leading scientific theories that claim that our senses report back objective reality, cognitive scientist Donald Hoffman argues that while we should take our perceptions seriously, we should not take them literally. How can it be possible that the world we see is not objective reality? And how can our senses be useful if they are not communicating the truth? Hoffman grapples with these questions and more over the course of this eye-opening work.

What a brilliant twist.
Revisado: 04-10-24
There were so many great insights presented in the ways we experience and interact with the unperceivable Actual Universe. Our Reality or Observed Universe is seen through filters and slits; the objective reality filled with icons. We are very limited in perception and fill in the blanks with neural algorithms.
This was kind of my introduction into Game Theory which I've been curious about but now have a bit of revoltion toward. Why? I think that is answered along with offering the remediation in the last chapter.
Up until the last chapter I was also really struggling with the heavy adherence to Darwinism and Reductionism. But it is a good book and it teaches a lot about adaptation and specialization. So give it up for the emphasis on Darwin.
Yet at the very last chapter a turn and a twist, an eloquent theory and new life breathed into those areas of contention and a unification with ontologies that include Consciousness. I'm not too sure if the author would place it there but that which was not highlighted until the last chapter I refer to as the Prima Materia or better yet Prime Motivator. Upon that the Observed Universe is our playground, our illusion, our reality (in the sense of 'that which we realize')

Slave Species of the Gods: The Secret History of the Anunnaki and Their Mission on Earth, 2nd Edition

Historia
Scholars have long believed that the first civilization on Earth emerged in Sumer some 6,000 years ago. However, as Michael Tellinger reveals, the Sumerians and Egyptians inherited their knowledge from an earlier civilization that lived at the southern tip of Africa and began with the arrival of the Anunnaki more than 200,000 years ago. Sent to Earth in search of life-saving gold, these ancient Anunnaki astronauts from the planet Nibiru created the first humans as a slave race to mine gold - thus beginning our global traditions of gold obsession, slavery, and god as dominating master.

Thought Provoking Glimpse of our History
Revisado: 02-06-23
Little marks in the mud. Clay tablets detailing our distant past. The story is so compelling telling us about the gods. One does not want to believe it, but the story told ties together geologic history, every aspect of the biblical narrative, common and lost histories, the nature of the gods and our own nature. Instead of crushing one's faith, it makes one question what one's faith means and one's relationship with God (uppercase G). And what is our relationship to the gods (lowercase G) who are us or who are in some way our family? Were the religious practices and books merely control mechanisms? Mere history? Or could they rather still hold valuable spiritual lessons? Were the Annunaki struggling for enlightenment as well as survival? Have we something they missed on the path to Enlightenment? Could they need us more than we need them?

Well done
Revisado: 05-09-22
This is a wonderful collection of essays and extracts from a number of writers and researchers into the phenomenon. The thread was smooth and avoided the current contentious politically charged social talking points. This gives the work a fair chance of remaining a rather timeless examination of the mystery.

Mixed review
Revisado: 04-16-22
What could have been an awesome topic (and to give credit some of the essays were indeed awesome) this overall compilation often devolved into an outdated political diatribe or lectures of the modern leftist world. Since the writing of this book "the movement" has become "the establishment", the "war on drugs" a war on carbon, feminism is replacing paternalism and order has been replaced by chaos. The Green Movement has moved to a point of becoming a Totalitarianism. It is anti-industrial and driving society out of balance. The good intentions of the Green Movement threatens to become an enslaving establishment. Global Warming has failed. It had to be renamed Climate Change. Well if anything is true climate changes with or without human intervention. We need to strike a balance between chaos and order. Neither should be abolished. I think the Divine Spark would have better served the readership had it sought balance between us moving into outer space as well as into inner space, the modern and the ancient, intelligence and wisdom.

Often described as an alchemical allegory, John Crowley instead decided this is "the first science fiction novel". After all, "it's fiction; it's about the possibilities of a science; and it's a novel". No matter what else it might be, it's definitely one of the great outlandish stories in Western literature.

Great version
Revisado: 10-30-21
Though, as a Rosicrucian, I like to delve deeper into the metaphysics of this text, I enjoyed this version in that it could at once be an alchemical, religious or moral play into deeper sublime truths and also a comedy into the frailty of human understanding and knowledge. The "Ground Hog's Day" Sci-Fi considerations at the conclusion only enforce the RC foundation in this beloved tale. CRC is viewed as a cyclic character and so is the Order akin to his name. As such, the roots of RC reach back before the three manifestos. It was never meant to be understood. And, to me, it is ok to consider it nonsensical and in the same moment profound. Profoundly nonsensical. Therein a mystery. Such is life.

If there had been no cover-up of Robert Kennedy's complicity in the murder of Marilyn Monroe in 1962 and he had been prosecuted based on compelling evidence at the time, the assassination of JFK by Bobby's enemies would not have happened - changing the course of history and preventing the murder of media icon Dorothy Kilgallen.

Thought provoking
Revisado: 09-20-21
I must say, food for thought. The telling of these theories and Mr Shaw's presentation of chains of events that tie these three people together helped to humanize them. I like Mr Shaw's passion as he knocks down the pedestals we have erected we have erected then celebrates the lives and accomplishments of these three bigger than life heroes. Thank You.
I do take exception however, with Mr Shaw's berating of Trump. I would like to see him fairly tackle the subject of Trump acknowledging accomplishments as well as explaining in a reasoned manner the shortcomings. I think this is Mr Shaw's strength. It knocked down my 5 star rating due to this one area of unbalanced authorship. What I heard was a blind guttural emotional response. In fairness I would like to see what Mr Shaw comes up with from a deeper study of Trump getting below the programmed cultural response.
Still a 4 star rating with comments (which I do not always offer) Good work.

As humanity’s collective consciousness evolves and expands, more of us are experiencing phenomena - voices no one else hears, visions no one else sees, intense intuitive feelings that presage the future or enable us to telepathically connect to loved ones. Some of us communicate with the dead, see interdimensional beings, claim to have been abducted by aliens. And some of us experience synchronicities that defy the odds.

Revisado: 06-12-21
If it had been the first book I'd picked up on the subject perhaps it would have been good. So much was a rehash of past work. But if you stick with it there are a few pearls in the second half.
Narration was awesome so the peeformance was top notch.
