Historia
The Secret Teachings of All Ages is a codex to the ancient occult and esoteric traditions of the world. Perhaps the most comprehensive and complete esoteric encyclopedia ever written. The sheer scope and ambition of this book are stunning. In this book, Manly P. Hall has successfully distilled the essence of more arcane subjects than one would think possible.

Narrator mispronounces a lot.
Revisado: 07-01-23
In a book like this where you have all sorts of names and terms that are infrequently used, but familiar to people interested in the relevant subject matter, you should really know how to pronounce those names and words before recording it. you can hear the narrator pausing to think how to say a word before he continues.

The banter and wit is superb, voice recording clear, performances well directed.
This play gets a lot of undeserved hate. It's one of his best comedies. You may find it therapeutic.

Historia
These days, English professors prefer to teach anything and everything but classic English literature. They indoctrinate their students in Marxism and radical feminism, show them Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11, and teach them the "post-colonial literature" of South Asia. When they do teach a genuine work of English or American literature, they use it to propagandize against our "oppressive" Western culture.

Exactly what the description says it is.
Revisado: 01-14-23
I've noticed a trend of bad reviews being at the top of any non-woke or anti-woke book on this app. it doesn't feel coincidental anymore but suffice to say this book is an excellent primer on the Canon of Western literature with specific highlights talking about what used to be talked about in these works, with the author, against political correctness feels a modern reader could learn from the works, as well as what people say about the work today in more politically correct and woke circles such as academia.

Disregard negative reviews.
Revisado: 01-13-23
The only reason people have a problem with this book is that it goes against their conclusions. because this is a subject that I'm making myself expert in, I will be investigating many of the thinkers and authors that this book covers, so I'll be able to come back and change this review if anything in this book is actually wrong. but everyone's saying that the book is shallow or incomplete or just a polemic fails to point out anything about the book or any of its arguments that are actually wrong. if you can't point to why something is wrong, don't go around telling people it's a bad book. and if all that you can do is attack a book with insults or the claim that it is biased, simply because it comes to a conclusion that is not favorable of your position, then you're just using the ability to leave a review as a way to subvert people that are looking for truth, which incidentally, is precisely what this book predicts someone with your views would do. with regards to bias, there's a difference between coming to a conclusion that would seem to be a bias, and beginning one's investigation with that same bias. some things are good, and some things are bad, given a certain value system, and if one is clarified their value system and is transparent about it, and then takes an unbiased examination of the evidence, they can come to a conclusion. the fact that they have a conclusion is not bias, that's just more subjectivist nonsense

Author didn't do the whole job.
Revisado: 05-21-21
Author does an excellent job of breaking down everything about Bitcoin and much of cryptocurrency as a whole. in the beginning of the book there's a rather excellent breakdown of the various functions of banks.
however, in this audiobook, we are continually instructed to refer to image 2.1 or image 4.4, it doesn't matter if they're supplied with the PDF or not. It's no longer strictly an audiobook if I keep having to look up resources, which is rather clumsy to do on the audible app to begin with. it might take a paragraph, but it's usually not too difficult to convey the essential points of a pictorial graph or diagram using only regular sentences. this was not done, you're referred to an image, then the author continues with "as you can see, " but I can't, because I'm driving.
Even without looking at the images, you can usually get the gist of what he's trying to convey, but being referred to an image that you're not looking at every few minutes becomes extremely irritating.

Three Fantastic Lecturers, + one iffy one.
- De Christopher en 12-03-15
An exercise in missing the point.
Revisado: 02-16-20
The lecturer displays a rather well-developed skill for as simplistically as possible summing up a story, missing when not obscuring otherwise obvious depth and significance.
Still worth a credit just to serve as an introductory overview, cliff notes of cliff notes.
