Historia
McEwen espouses the pleasure to be found in slowing down, both for the ease and comfort of the thing itself (taking time to go for a walk, to write down one's dreams, to read, to talk, to pray), and for its impact on creativity. There are chapters on walking, talking, drawing, dreaming, on "making space", on pausing/praying, on telling stories. World Enough and Time is aimed at the educated general listener, could be used as a creative primer, and will be of interest to creative-writing students and artists in every genre.

I find myself unable to summarize my thoughts surrounding the experience of this audiobook. I appreciate it for every word and pause. The end credits were as deeply rewarding to listen to as the conclusion to any of the great books I’ve read. This has become an instant classic for me and most certainly a reference guide for future readings.

entertaining trilogy, but inconsistent narrator
Revisado: 05-06-21
I listened to all three audiobooks. Probably some spoilers below, I’ll try to keep it to a minimum. For me this isn’t a 5 star story, but it did entertain.
These aren’t deep, thought-provoking stories with complex characters, but overall I enjoyed the adventure. However, the inconsistent narration between books one and three was confusing and for me it detracted from the story significantly. It could have been due to the narration, but I felt book three in general was disconnected from books one and two.
Book one and three had the same character narrating; however the performers’ accents were wildly and inexplicably different. I’m sure it was intentional, but it lost me.
Book three aside, the first two books make the trilogy worthwhile.
