Thank your for sharing your story. There are no words in the english language to express the courage & fear of the men, women and children who experience & endured the atrocity of the holocaust.

Historia
For half a century, a terrible secret lay hidden, locked in a trunk in an attic... photos, official documents, and scraps of a diary written by a young girl. "The time has come when I must share my life story... some facts from the past that could make a contribution, however small it may be, to the history of mankind." The Secret Holocaust Diaries is a haunting eyewitness account of Nonna Lisowskaja Bannister, a remarkable Russian-American woman who saw and survived unspeakable evils as a young girl.

It was an honor to listen to her story. Very inspiring, sad and a life lesson. Powerful story that will forever remain with me. Thank you to the Bannister family for getting her story published. She sounds like a remarkable woman. Thank you Nonna for sharing your story. May you be at rest and reunited with your beloved family…together again.

Historia
At the age of 22, Jennifer Worth left her comfortable home to move into a convent and become a midwife in postwar London’s East End slums. The colorful characters she met while delivering babies all over London - from the plucky, warm-hearted nuns with whom she lived to the woman with 24 children who couldn't speak English to the prostitutes and dockers of the city’s seedier side - illuminate a fascinating time in history.

LOVELY, ENJOYABLE & HONEST
Revisado: 09-01-24
If you enjoy the show then you will love this book. She did not shy away from being honest about her feelings in certain situations. The only thing that I did not like was when the narrator spoke in the voice of Cynthia…I found it to be very annoying. Other than that, she did an excellent job with the voices of others in this memoir. I am really looking forward to reading/hearing book 2 & 3.

Wonderful & Pure Beauty
Revisado: 08-30-24
I loved Michelle Obama when she first came on the scene. After reading ( hearing ) her story I love her even more. She has the most beautiful speaking voice. She read her story so eloquently that I was able to fall blissfully into the depths of her life starting from childhood. After hearing of her childhood and her upbringing I can understand how, why and where she got her strength from. So much credit goes to her parents and family members that they are to be commended & recognized. I do want to say too much to give away and be a spoiler but just to say that some of her stories made me laugh out loud. Truly a wonderful read and a must. I highly recommend this to everyone. One more note before ending my review. I loved the way she was candid and raw regarding her inner feelings and struggles that I myself was able to relate to and gave me a sense of peace that I wasn’t alone.
