Historia
Sasha Pierce hasn’t had a single dream since she was a child...until she accepts a substitute teaching position in the charmingly witchy village of Old Middleton. Her first dream in twenty-five years ought to be enchanting, but her wonder quickly turns to shock when she realizes that it’s not a dream at all, but an entirely different sort of magic. Catapulted through an ancient portal into the fairytale kingdom of Between, Sasha’s astonishment is swiftly upgraded to panic when she accidentally performs a supposedly impossible feat and is declared the True Queen of Between.

I'm Loving This Story
Revisado: 02-07-24
The story is broken up into two parts. Part one is told from the main female point of view, while part two is told from the main male point of view. It's a modern day fairy tale. Funny, charming, different type of story. Not to heavy, but keeps you interested! The characters are fun and you start to root for both the FMC & MMC. Love the best friend and the witches, and I want my very own imps to records my adventures!
Love the characters, love the world. 32 hours of audiobook and I'm sad it's over. I bought the physical book as well and I've already read it again!
I can't wait for the next Chronicle of Between!

So Cute, Will Come Back Every Year
Revisado: 01-09-24
This is so cute and perfect to listen to during the holidays. It's a mystery/who-done-it with Christmas themes thrown in with out going full Hallmark. Looking forward to listening to it next winter too!

Historia
Life is looking up for Holly Darling, granddaughter of Wendy—yes, that Wendy. She's running a successful skincare company; her son, Jack, is happy and healthy; and the tragedy of her past is well behind her...until she gets a call that her daughter, Eden, who has been in a coma for nearly a decade, has gone missing from the estate where she's been long tucked away. And, worst of all, Holly knows who must be responsible: Peter Pan, who is not only very real, but more dangerous than anyone could imagine.

The voice actor did a fine job, great story telling. I didn't like the way the main character treated both of her children. Her choices made it hard for me to care for her as the main protagonist. I didn't care for the rape or this dark version of Peter. It's really turned me off to all Peter Pan type stories. Kind of left a bad taste in my mind. Won't read again.

On the outside, Dina Demille is the epitome of normal. She runs a quaint Victorian Bed and Breakfast in a small Texas town, owns a Shih Tzu named Beast, and is a perfect neighbor, whose biggest problem should be what to serve her guests for breakfast.

Voice Actors Accent SO Bad
Revisado: 11-02-22
I couldn't get into this story because I couldn't get over the horrible southern accent the voice actor gave to the main character. She's suppose to be a young girl (I think) looking for her lost parents and she sounds like a old grandmother. Even if she's suppose to be southern it's just to strong for me. It pulled me out of the story instead of pulling me in.
I've loved all the stories I've read by Ilona Andrews. I'll just have to try this story in book form. I can't listen to another chapter.

Historia
Since time immemorial the Spires have sheltered humanity, towering for miles over the mist-shrouded surface of the world. Within their halls aristocratic houses have ruled for generations, developing scientific marvels, fostering trade alliances, and building fleets of airships to keep the peace. Captain Grimm commands the merchant ship Predator. Fiercely loyal to Spire Albion, he has taken their side in the cold war with Spire Aurora, disrupting the enemy's shipping lines by attacking their cargo vessels.

Love Jim Butcher
Revisado: 11-16-21
I love Jim Butcher's writing style so I was very excited that he started another series. It's a bit slow in the begining, because he is developing a world. But after the first few chapters it really picks up. I've read this story twice now. Excited for the second book in the series!

Good short story touching on depression and loneliness. Already recommended it to a friend. Give it a listen.
