Historia
The pieces started to fall In 2019 when a wave of anti-abortion laws went into effect. Georgia, Ohio, Mississippi, Louisiana and Kentucky banned abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, while Missouri banned the procedure at eight weeks. Alabama banned all abortions. The die was cast. And on June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and, abortion immediately became illegal in 22 states. No Choice begins by shining a light on the eerie ways in which life before Roe will be mirrored in life after.

Historia
Centuries before the events of A Game of Thrones, House Targaryen - the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria - took up residence on Dragonstone. Fire & Blood begins their tale with the legendary Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and goes on to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold that iconic seat, all the way up to the civil war that nearly tore their dynasty apart.

Critiques Taken
Revisado: 01-01-23
It appears that the author took critiques from the original series on not glorifying rape. There was more autonomy here and great backstory. My only notable issue is that the characters are many so it’s hard to keep track of.

In this revolutionary book, psychiatrist and neuroscientist Dr. Amir Levine and Rachel Heller scientifically explain why some people seem to navigate relationships effortlessly, while others struggle.

Introspective and Insightful
Revisado: 10-18-22
This is a great book on attachment styles. I didn’t realize that attachment styles affect me not just in romantic relationships, but also in my friendships and professional life. Understanding who I work with best and how to elevate myself to a more secure attachment style was a necessity. This is a great introduction with some very under-the-surface explanations with studies included.
