Historia
With her extended maternity leave at its end, Melanie Trenholm is less than thrilled to leave her new husband and beautiful twins to return to work, especially when she’s awoken by a phone call with no voice on the other end—and the uneasy feeling that the ghostly apparitions that have stayed silent for more than a year are about to invade her life once more. But her return to the realty office goes better than she could have hoped, with a new client eager to sell the home she recently inherited on South Battery.

I will be so sorry when this series finally ends. The stories are intriguing and narration excellent.

Enjoyable

It took awhile to get there but the buildup was necessary for everything to fall into place at the end. An enjoyable listen.

Historia
Georgie's best friend, Belinda, inherits a spooky old house in Cornwall and asks Georgie to go with her to inspect the property. When they arrive, they meet Rose, a woman Belinda knew as a child when she spent her summers with her grandmother in Cornwall. Belinda never liked Rose, who has always been bossy and a bit of a bully, but when Belinda's house proves to be uninhabitable, Rose invites them to stay with her. Rose is now married to Tony Summers, Belinda's childhood crush, and lives in the lovely house on the cliffs that he has inherited.

Always a good read.

Rhys Bowen has the knack to keep a story interesting and always on the go. The Spyness series has been one of my favorites. Jasmine Blackborow is a talented narrator. I was concerned about the change in narrators a couple of books back but all is well.

This is my first book by this author. It won't be the last. The narrator brought the characters to life.
