Wonderful Story

I am actually reviewing The Assyrian and Book 2 The Blood Star.These books are of epic proportion. It is a story you will not forget. It is about an honorable Prince who has to deal with jealousy from a brother. The broken promises of love and its driven aftermath. The only negative for me was that the brutality sometimes made me cringe, but it was a brutal time in the world's history. I enjoyed this story and I believe you will to. It keeps you enthralled and wanting more.

I couldn't stop listening to this book. If you like adventure, intriguing reading, mystery with church politics thrown in then you will like this book. it reminded me of the Da Vinchi Code. very descriptive, full of detail

I Am Old and White

I am/was surprised at myself and this book. Let me get the negative out of the way at the beginning. I hate the bad language used in this audiobook. I was raised that the F word is the filthiest word you can use. In my 70 plus years of life that has not changed. I cringed every time I heard it used by Will Smith. I don't regret listening to this book. In fact, I forced myself to listen. I loved it because of its honesty, and openness. I could identify with a lot of his life, minus the celebrity part, of course. We all have problems we must work through in order to get through this life. The steps he went through was something I never imagined Will going through. His childhood gave him a tremendous amount of strength and fear. He had to deal with a mentally abusive, alcoholic father, but it was also countered by unconditional love and faith by his Grandmother. I highly recommend this book and I hope you gain insight into your life as I did.

Great Story

If you like strong women you will like listening to this book. A young woman goes to Europe with her parents and sister and finds what she wasn't expecting. Her independence is front and center in her mind and affects her heart after she meets a man she considers to be a money grubbing rake.

Unable to Finish

OK, I admit I am not happy with this book and it has nothing to do with the story. I was raised to understand that the four-letter word beginning with F is the filthiest word in the human language. It may have become commonplace in today's society but not for me. I just couldn't complete the book past chapter three.

Love Story and Excitement

The storyline is excellent and I enjoyed listening to the obstinate lady trying to reach a goal she thought she must have to have a complete family. Then there is the male lead who is flawed by life but has the strength to persevere. It will hold your interest throughout.
The only negative was the narration, slightly. The male and female voices weren't that good. It sometimes distracts you. I think you can enjoy the story, but that's for you to judge.

I liked reading this book very much. It has great characters, with terrific dialogue. It has everything you could want in a romance, from problems to solve and steamy sex. It kept me turning pages from start to finish. I do not think you will be disappointed. I know I enjoyed it.

Kick A-s Story

I enjoyed reading this fantasy/adventure. The storyline I think is excellent with believable dialogue. It kept me entertained and turning pages. The characters are well developed with a strong female lead. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

This love/murder mystery offers all I could want in a Period Love Story. The characters are strong and well rounded. The dialogue is great. I love listening to that English accent. The storyline is excellent and I didn't want to stop listening. For love story fans as well as those who like mystery, you can enjoy this story.
