That ending though!
Revisado: 12-16-24
So these books are equal parts fantastical and grounded on a well developed system of magic and artifices. As these stories develop though each one seems to double down and each character becomes more and more beloved. The ending of this book really caught me though so they are worth a listen or read. These books are great for a good laugh too.

This book was a hell of a wild ride and so well written. I usually only listen to books while I'm working but this one made me break that rule.

This book is a must-read for my fellow true crime enthusiasts. Well preformed and masterfully written, it tells the story of the three brave women and the piece of human garbage that imprisoned them.

Historia
Working at the local processing plant, Marcos is in the business of slaughtering humans - though no one calls them that anymore. His wife has left him, his father is sinking into dementia, and Marcos tries not to think too hard about how he makes a living. After all, it happened so quickly. First, it was reported that an infectious virus has made all animal meat poisonous to humans. Then governments initiated the "Transition". Now, eating human meat - "special meat" - is legal. Marcos tries to stick to numbers, consignments, processing.

Historia
When Geraldine "Gerry" Largay first went missing on the Appalachian Trail in remote western Maine in 2013, the people of Maine were wrought with concern. When she was not found, the family, the wardens, and the Navy personnel who searched for her were devastated. The Maine Warden Service continued to follow leads for more than a year. They never completely gave up the search. Two years after her disappearance, her bones and scattered possessions were found by chance by two surveyors.

Revisado: 06-26-21
I'm from Maine and this story hit close to home when it happened. I've hiked sections of the AT and adore that trail. Gerry's story is a tragic one and was captured so we'll in this book. Highly recommend! Learn from Gerry and remember her legacy.

Historia
Lucie Blackman - tall, blond, 21 years old - stepped out into the vastness of Tokyo in the summer of 2000 and disappeared. The following winter, her dismembered remains were found buried in a seaside cave. The seven months in between had seen a massive search for the missing girl involving Japanese policemen, British private detectives, and Lucie’s desperate but bitterly divided parents. Had Lucie been abducted by a religious cult or snatched by human traffickers? Who was the mysterious man she had gone to meet? And what did her work as a hostess in the notorious Roppongi district of Tokyo really involve?

I couldn't stop listening to this book. I visited Japan in 2010 and found myself more captivated by the story because of it. The story of Lucie Blackman and what happened to her is one I'll be recommending to my friends.

Historia
Known for his network of conservative websites that draws millions of readers everyday, Andrew Breitbart has one main goal: to make sure the "liberally biased" major news outlets in this country cover all aspects of a story fairly. Breitbart is convinced that too many national stories are slanted by the news media in an unfair way. In Righteous Indignation, Breitbart talks about the key issues that Americans face, how he has aligned himself with the Tea Party, and how one needs to deal with the liberal news world head on.

Read this book!!!
Revisado: 04-30-21
I've heard several Conservative voices telling me to read this book. Now that I have, I wish it hadn't taken me so long. Every American should read this book. Especially in today's political climate. The death of this man was a national tragedy and we need more people like him. This book is a helpful tool in our fight against Marxism and the filth that spreads it.

Historia
On July 20, 2012 in Aurora, Colorado, a man in dark body armor and a gas mask entered a midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises with a tactical shotgun, a high-capacity assault rifle, and a sidearm. Soon twelve were dead and fifty-eight were wounded. A Dark Night in Aurora uses the twenty-three hours of unredacted interview transcripts never seen by the public and Reid’s research to bring the listener inside the mind of a mass murderer. The result is chilling, gripping study of abnormal psychology and how a lovely boy named Jimmy became a killer.

Continuity in annunciation, terms, and emulating
Revisado: 08-15-20
This story is a great read, but the audio is really messing with me. Her annunciation of already cannon terms and names drives me off the wall. I respect the teams doing these recordings wanting to shuffle the voices around but at this point to not have any back ground on the terms specific to the franchise is almost inexcusable.
I did enjoy the story and almost suffered through the reading and my two cents is if you are picking up a story on book 27 or 28 (i cant remember) the least you could do is some background research on the specific items for the story. Like several other reviews i agree the inflection and monotone reading areas throws me off. I do respect the attempt at the reading though hope she keeps getting better.
