Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Solid book that fits Khoury’s style nicely
Revisado: 11-06-22
I must admit, I was happy with the shift away from the Templar theme that drove the story in the last 2 books. On the other hand, it lacked many of the historical asides that I enjoyed with those stories. Nevertheless, it’s on point with Mr. Khoury’s ability to weave details, intrigue, twists, action, and a hint of romance into a book’s pages.

Good story, but somewhat predictable
Revisado: 10-03-22
I love this storyline and the characters, but several major twists in this book were things I saw coming for a while. Not that it took away from enjoying it, but I preferred the surprises from the earlier books in the series.

It's fall 2007. A well-timed leak has revealed that the US government might have engaged in first contact. Cora Sabino is doing everything she can to avoid the whole mess, since the force driving the controversy is her whistleblower father. Even though Cora hasn't spoken to him in years, his celebrity has caught the attention of the press, the internet, the paparazzi, and the government - and with him in hiding, that attention is on her. She neither knows nor cares whether her father's leaks are a hoax and wants nothing to do with him.

Interesting Read. Could do without the romance.
Revisado: 09-16-22
Good character development and an interesting plot. Lots of smaller story arch’s to build new tension and solutions. Only downside for me was that the apparent romance between Kora and Ampersand was off-putting. It seemed forced and unnecessary.

Easy listen, Solid PG-13 action, and a Weird Audio Change
Revisado: 05-30-22
I’ve probably listened to 4-5 of the books in this series now. I always find them enjoyable and interesting. This book was no different. There was an odd change in one chapter where voice sounded very different 🤷♂️.

Very Pleasantly Surprised by this Audiobook.
Revisado: 10-28-21
I was just looking for a book included in my membership to pass the time until I received my next credit. I expected it be “Okay” but found myself really interested in the story - sometimes thinking about the most recent plot shift even when I wasn’t listening. Great job by the reader who did a fantastic job juggling multiple, very different voices throughout the majority of the book. Great job!

Interesting story-Decent Reader-Odd Ending
Revisado: 09-09-21
A very interesting story. I really like this author. Unlike his other books, it takes a while to get going because he has to create a world that didn’t exist in order for the rest of the story to work. Oddly, at the climax of the story, the author moves away from the detailed engagement of the story and opts for summarizing what happens. Essential conversations that you’ve been waiting for the entire time are glossed over with a few sentences. Nonetheless, he does pull it together at the end to provide a satisfying close to the story arc. Sometimes it is harder to differentiate the characters because the readers range of voices is limited, although not so much that it distracts you from the story. Just takes getting used to.

Confusing Start but Satisfying Ending
Revisado: 03-03-21
The outset of the book introduces so many characters and so many locations that it feels impossible to keep them all straight. Still, the story works then all back together by the end and brings everything to a fantastic close.
