Historia
With the way behind them sealed, the only way forward for Eve and her friends is down. Down the narrow steps carved into the mountain. Down into the oppressive toxic fog. Down into the Dead Fields. But the Dead Fields are not so dead as they seem. Things lurk in the mist, things far beyond the levels of Eve, Wes, Preston, and, especially, the hatchling Reginald.

good story
Revisado: 04-18-22
This is a very interesting story idea.
I only have 2 complaints, which are personal preferences of mine. I don't like the constant swearing by nearly all the characters, I think it's kinda lazy to just have them repeat the same curses over and over, regardless if they are happy or mad. It also makes listening to the story around my young children nearly impossible. My other complaint is the (what feels like) a strange push by characters to make the main character gay. Just because some of the characters are doesn't mean she has to be. I like her better not interested in romance at all, and I hope she stays that way for the rest of the series. I actually would feel the same even if all the characters were straight.
This is a very interesting take on this sort of story. It's frequently very funny, and the character growth is interesting to follow. I am very curious to see if she ever gets that loaf of bread.

The Questing Stones have come to Nowherested, and Evelia Greene is finally ready to receive her life's quest. Perhaps she'll be a great warrior, or a wealthy merchant, or a brilliant mage. Perhaps her quest is simply to live a quiet life, constantly honing a craft to the heights of perfection. Or perhaps the Questing Stones will grant her the legendary mission of popping over to the next village to pick up a loaf of bread.

interesting
Revisado: 04-15-22
For the most part I like the story. It is funny in a sarcastic way. The Characters swear way too often, though I will give the author that it is a unique way to do it. I could have done without the mild gay scene, as it didn't add much other than outing 2 characters and explaining one. But that's just a person opinion.

interesting
Revisado: 09-24-21
It's a great story. Not terribly thrilled with the ending, but also sort of get it. Also don't really like the author's attitude towards motherhood from the main character, but that's just a personal opinion. A baby doesn't mean someone's schooling would be placed on hold...that's what online classes are for (well one reason for doing them). [Not really a spoiler you hear the opinion at the beginning of the book. I personally just didn't like the attitude. ]

Historia
Private investigator Wyatt West finds his job a little tedious most days, but that changes when he meets a bewitching blonde florist who needs a favor in the way of a wedding date. There's definitely something magical about her, but little does he know just how correct that first impression is. Single mom Marigold Williams finds herself instantly attracted to Wyatt but doesn't dare tell this handsome human that she's a witch and things in Nocturne Falls are a little spookier than he suspects. He’s just a nice guy who’s offered to be her plus one.

A truly wonderful story
Revisado: 09-09-20
Yet again Shanna Swendson has created an interesting and delightful story you just can't put down. It could easily be the beginning of a series, but also has a pretty satisfactory ending to be a stand alone story.

I like the characters
Revisado: 07-02-20
This series is an interesting take on supernatural characters. I like the personality of the author, which is rather believable for an author. Her inner personal struggles, sound like struggles a real writer would have. The book has the right amount of romance, just the right amount without going over the top. The ending is abrupt but then all the books in the series have abrupt endings, as though someone had shut the door, not letting you look inside anymore into the characters lives. I'm okay with the ending.

A very enjoyable story.
Revisado: 07-30-19
This series is so very enjoyable. A tad more cursing then I normally care for, and modern culture (which frequently feels forced and doesn't really add much to a story)... but it is more than made up for with the natural humor of the characters.
It is fascinating to see how Daniel and Nell meet and come together.
