As a long time Star Trek fan I can truly say this was the perfect blend of nostalgia and freshness. Expertly read by Will Wheaton, it made a long commute quite fun for over a week.

Tough love from a writer to a writer

I'll be mulling over the thought provoking questions in this for a long time. It's nothing about a system or approach and all about digging into yourself...finding your alignment. I think it will help me in many areas of my life, but I am especially grateful for it now as I struggle to get words on the page. Thank you, Becca.

Perfect in every way. The world building is spot on, mixing tech and Magic in an alternate reality. The characters, even the minor ones, are fully fleshed out and distinct. The plot is rich enough to inform the back stories while carrying the momentum forward. The dialogue is witty and laugh out loud funny. I enjoyed every minute. It was also expertly read by Steve West. He shifted from male to female POV flawlessly, never making it feel awkward.

Something for everyone

I went into this thinking I might learn a little something and came away profoundly moved. There were nuggets of gold in each session, truths I didn't even know I needed to hear. Everyone has fears. This Audio is a toolbox full of ways to build bridges over, through, and around. I highly recommend.

Tip if you are annoyed with "This is Audible"

It's only been two nights. Too early to tell if I'm making better food choices. I did want to mention a couple things. The first night, every time it went from the music to her speaking, it startled me awake even though I had the volume very low. The second night I fell asleep before she got to the countdown and slept deeply. Maybe I had to get used to her voice? Anyway...I noticed a lot of reviews mentioning that the male voice at the end proclaiming "This is Audible" is jarring and wakes people up. This is true. However, there is a sleep timer option on all books that is customizable. I simply set the timer for 10 minutes less than the length of the book, and it shut itself off somewhere in the night. Hope it helps.

A book about the power words have over us. Of love, loss, and finding love. Of letting go, moving on, and holding on to the things that matter. Lyrical prose, heart felt characters, and quality minor characters who have no idea they are. Expertly narrated.
