Historia
In Scotland's Outer Hebrides, a man washes up on a deserted beach, hypothermic and completely disoriented. He has no idea who he is or how he got there. The only clue to his condition is a map of the island showing a desolate, ancient path called the Coffin Road. With a sense of dread and no clear idea what lies at the other end, he knows he must follow the trail if he has any hope of discovering his identity. Meanwhile, homicide detective George Gunn makes the rough ocean crossing to a remote, sea-battered lighthouse to investigate a brutal murder.

While I loved the Cherringham series by the same authors, this cozy mystery did not captivate me, So disappointing. And, Nathaniel Parker's American accent is grating; he could use some instruction from Neil Dudgeon.

A Marvelous Series
Revisado: 07-22-20
I adore the Cherringham series. 35 short mysteries set in a charming English village. The characters are likable and the plots are well constructed. The authors paint the people and scenery beautifully. And Neil Dudgeon is a brilliant actor. His American accent is the best I've heard from a British narrator. I recommend the entire series wholeheartedly!

Historia
In an elegant apartment in Paris, forensic expert Enzo Macleod, now 56 years old, pores over the scant evidence of the sixth and final cold case he has been challenged to solve. The most obvious suspect is Régis Blanc, a former pimp already imprisoned for the murders of three sex workers, who may have been Lucie's lover in the months before her disappearance.

A most unexpected new detective inspector takes up his post this Monday morning, and the oldest detective in the place takes a momentous decision. Around them, other officers are considering their own situations, and even the building itself seems to be facing an uncertain future. Everything about the DC Smith series is excellent - from the structure of the novels to the development of the characters to the case in each book. To top it all off is the brilliant narration by Gildart Jackson. I dread coming to the end!
