Excellent
Revisado: 11-12-15
Fantastic storyline and world. Terrible narrator. Overall outstanding. Yes, the story's merits outweigh the laughably poor female narrator's performance. It's very distracting, though. Her attempts at mimicking the husky tone of men's voices and various accents is absolutely absurd. The story is full of extremely intricate technical details which I loved. It seems like the author thought of everything to fully flesh out this world.

Historia
Hidden somewhere, in nearly every major city in the world, is an underground seduction lair. And in these lairs, men trade the most devastatingly effective techniques ever invented to charm women. This is not fiction. These men really exist. They live together in houses known as Projects. And Neil Strauss, the best-selling author, spent two years living among them, using the pseudonym Style to protect his real-life identity. The result is one of the most explosive and controversial books of the year.

Bizzare and creepy
Revisado: 10-08-15
I can't believe I wasted a credit on this. It's too strange for words. Chock-full of pseudoscientific acronyms, encouraging manipulative and deceitful behavior. . I'm sure most of the stories in this book are just bad fiction. Any guy who thinks he'll go from Zero to a Hero by following these "methods" is a tool. I thought this book was going to be ABOUT pickup artists and not how the BECOME one.

Historia
In The Accidental Superpower, international strategist Peter Zeihan examines how geography, combined with demography and energy independence, will pave the way for one of the great turning points in history, and one in which America reasserts its global dominance. No other country has a greater network of internal waterways, a greater command of deepwater navigation, or a firmer hold on industrialization technologies than America.

Fantastic Insight
Revisado: 08-30-15
Great insight into how the topographic features of a region affect economics, agriculture and government. I was initially concerned that this book would be a bizarre foray into ideologically-driven pipe dreams but it was anything but. My only quibble would be the author's odd over-enunciation of the T sound in words such as forty, little, etc.

Out of the crucible of medical training, award-winning writer Terrence Holt shapes this stunning account of residency, the years-long ordeal in which doctors are made. "Amid all the mess and squalor of the hospital, with its blind random unraveling of lives", Internal Medicine finds the compassion from which doctors discover the strength to care.

Great book
Revisado: 08-30-15
Great overall, and maudlin at some parts (such as the part about hospice care). Most of the stories were excellent.

Nothing special
Revisado: 04-11-15
The author sounds like a sociopath who is bragging about his own intelligence while periodically feigning concern for the turmoil his family was put through because he knows society expects him to feel remorse. While interesting at some technical level, the reader has little reason to like the author or want him to succeed in his life of crime. The narrator didn't help matters at all. He sounds like a real drama class amateur whose emphasis adds little to the story and never sounds authentic when expressing emotions.
