Great story, frustrating narrator
Revisado: 01-04-21
I love the story, but the narrator makes most of the voices quite obnoxious. The main character sounds like a pouting teenage valley girl, and she is one of the better ones. It is pretty distracting. I liked Knox's voice, but the other guys sounded like surfers from 80's movies. Outside of dialogue, the narration was good.

Horrible narrator, cute story
Revisado: 08-18-18
I love the series, and this book is a nice change from the first two. It isn't as exciting, didn't draw me in as much, but the plot is very different, so adds another element to the series. I love seeing previous main characters who don't suddenly change in personality to suit the plot. That said, this narrator is truly awful. I'd recommend listening to the sample to see if her voice bothers you. It is a little irritating, and I never could get used to it, so unfortunately, a story that would normally lead to an audiobook that I would listen to repeatedly is going to be deleted. On the bright side, I know to avoid anything narrated by Emily Durante in the future

Painfully bad narrator
Revisado: 03-06-18
What would have made Possessing Providence better?
I love the story, have read it many times, but the narrator is just awful
What was one of the most memorable moments of Possessing Providence?
The moment she finds the hero in the cell, her reaction
What didn’t you like about Jennifer Cliff’s performance?
Her non dialogue sounds robotic, but her dialogue is almost comically bad. I gave up at the fourth chapter. It is easily the worst narration that I have ever heard. Listen to the sample, but be warned, the narration does get worse. Her English accents weren't bad, but the Australian sounded like someone doing a mocking interpretation. I can't believe this actually was released; where is the quality control?
What character would you cut from Possessing Providence?
None, the story itself is pretty solid
Any additional comments?
I hope this gets re-released with better narration to do the story justice. I definitely recommend buying the book, but it is ruined with this narrator.

Historia
Her life destroyed by a stalker, Uzuri Cheval starts anew in Tampa and joins the exclusive Shadowlands club. Unconvinced of her claims that she can overcome her fear of big men without help, Master Z gives her a time limit. And she is improving - until she hears the stalker is out of prison. Now her time limit is up, and the Masters will intervene, which is okay - as long as whoever helps her is short. Okay, sweet and gentle would be good, too. But two Doms? Dangerously experienced and dauntingly powerful cousins? No way.

Love the story, narrators, not so much
Revisado: 02-24-18
If you could sum up Mischief and the Masters in three words, what would they be?
Pranks, sex & love
What was one of the most memorable moments of Mischief and the Masters?
Any of the pranks, always hilarious to see doms from previous books react to Uzuri's pranks
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
There are two narrators, and the female narrator isn't exactly bad, but she made the main character sound like an 80-yr-old woman.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I have reread this book countless times, and I still find myself laughing
Any additional comments?
Love the story, one of my favorites of the series. I do wish they would use a different female narrator, just because she is not very good at using different inflections for different characters without aging them

Historia
A graduate of a prestigious French culinary school, Peyton has just lost her job as a food critic after rightfully accusing her boss of sexual harassment. Out of work and in a bad place personally, to Peyton a year doing something completely different sounds wonderful. Peyton dives into learning the resort business but is quickly derailed by an escalating chain of events that puts her life in danger. She refuses to be intimidated - until she’s nearly killed. Then she calls on her childhood friend and protector, Finn MacBain, now with the FBI, and asks for his help.

Good story, horrible narration
Revisado: 02-24-18
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Spoiler, but the cousin Debi committed so many illegal acts, some definitely felonies, and she gets no real comeuppance. It was so frustrating. Peyton spends so much time of the story lamenting that her cousin is never held accountable and is spoiled, yet she lets her get away with so much. This left a bad taste after finishing the story, but otherwise, it is a good read
What did you like best about this story?
I love that the plot revolves around a bad guy getting justice
How did the narrator detract from the book?
One of the worst narrators I have heard. She often sounds like the archetypal "omg, no waaay" valley girl, and is just generally irritating to listen to
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
no
Any additional comments?
Not my favorite Julie Garwood, and I only went with the audiobook since I had a credit and her ebooks are extremely overpriced, but the narrator is so bad, I think I will return it

Historia
Billionaire Gibb Martin loves risk almost as much as he loves a well-made suit. But when his business partner and longtime friend suddenly bails on a major venture to get married…well, that's one risk Gibb isn't willing to take. Now he just needs to charter a plane to Florida so he can stop the wedding - fast! Normally, bombshell pilot Sophia Cruz would have told Slick City Boy exactly where to go. Unfortunately, she really needs cash - even if it does come from an over-privileged guy with a very fine backside.

ruined by bad narration
Revisado: 12-09-17
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Dialogue was a bit corny, didn't seem to fit
How could the performance have been better?
1. Giving the characters even slightly different voices. 2. She has a strange rhythm where she is randomly speaking very slowly, then speeds up again, so if they could fix her pacing, that would help, got annoying fast. 3. Her inflection was just odd; some parts sounded like she was bored, etc

Bears and bunnies aren't supposed to mix, or that's what Chase keeps telling himself when his bouncy new neighbor won't stay out of his business - and his mind. However, the more he gets to know his overly perky neighbor, the more he craves her. It's a desire worse than his addiction to honey and pie.

How did this narration get approved????????
Revisado: 05-31-17
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The book itself is good. It is a light and cute story
What was one of the most memorable moments of Bunny and the Bear?
The rescue
What didn’t you like about Abby Craden’s performance?
Her narration for voices is easily the worst I have ever heard. The voices have the weirdest pacing, and no voice sounds relatively normal/acceptable. Every voice sounds like she is mocking someone, but the high pitched ridiculous voice for Miranda that is as out of place as it is annoying. The men will alternately sound like Gollum or low pitched off tempo messes
What would have made this romance irresistible?
Better narration
Any additional comments?
Please, PLEASE, rerelease with a better narrator. It is an adorable story ruined by this narration. I thought she would be good, her voice when isn't trying to use a character voice is very good.

Good story, audio hissing on s's
Revisado: 02-02-17
Would you listen to Dragon Bound again? Why?
Definitely not. I tried different devices, playing with equalizer, but audio had the most annoying hissing sound on s sounds
What didn’t you like about Sophie Eastlake’s performance?
I don't think it was the narrator so much as the editing
Any additional comments?
Good story, but I hope they redo the audiobook

males voices sound like bad Gollum impersonation
Revisado: 12-05-16
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
The narrator is not bad overall, but her male voices are absolutely horrible. I couldn't finish listening to it, it was just painfully awful
Who was your favorite character and why?
Renee, very sweet character, and her exuberance is cute
What didn’t you like about Abby Craden’s performance?
Any time a male speaks, she fails miserably. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible her male voices are. Viktor sounds like the narrator is doing a Gollum impersonation
What character would you cut from Croc and the Fox?
none
Any additional comments?
Great book, have read it several times, but avoid this mess of an audiobook. This narrator is officially on my "avoid at all costs" list. It's easily the worst I have ever heard because of the male voices. The rest, the females and non dialogue are perfectly fine
