Only real issue is it’s pretty clear the author went in with the slant he wanted and created the narrative to fit it. Entertaining…. But would NEVER use it as a reference in a paper or anything.

Rarely write reviews but sometimes you just have to. Whether it’s amazing, horrendous… or in this case, kinda pointless. At the end of it all the multiple hours listened, the entire book can be described down to two sentences…. Girl power & copy everyone else but do it a tiny bit different. Mix that with over use of fake terms made this a HARD listen.

Money grab. Literally just read 6 quotes from mostly random ppl, then had like a 6 sentence explanation. Only pulls from make believe characters or ppl who are insanely famous. Disappointing

Outside random flute playing… amazing

Great book overall. Gives a different view on self talk and simple basic overlaying rules on how to get the most out of life. Between the flute and the narrator it just felt like they were mixing genres a lil too much. Trying to be biting and intense while also one with nature and Native American

Informative, touching, DEEPLY flawed

Interesting stories of people overcoming adversity from a variety of backgrounds. But it’s clear that he’s a professor at a public university & gets his research money from grants. Stories are good, but his declarative statements & main points are EASILY poked apart with a few seconds of critical thinking.

Never really answers the statement of the title

Can honestly say it’s the most disappointed I’ve ever been in a book. Finished it just to see if it ever got better…. It did not. Three issues, 1) read the description ahead of time, this book will not help w any confidence issues you may have. 2) more of a political propaganda message than anything to do w confidence. Blatant and heavy handed. 3) every single study then reader alludes too is easily disproved. No study is perfect, but the studies mentioned had a disingenuous motive. Every conclusion the reader drew in the end was exact opposite of what I’m assuming at least 50% of the readers will.

Synopsis: be everything, always…. But also aloof

Great voice but tried a little too hard. Stories and concepts were intriguing. Usually enjoy Robert Greens work but this was wildly mediocre. A good listen overall, but took nothing substantial away from it in the end.

Didn’t read what it was about, still loved every second

Book as unique as he is, & honest in its depiction. Gweneth Paltro is terrible but I’m going to watch this terrible movie and giggle the entire time
