Very thorough coverage of supportive thesis

I’m very pleased that Mr. Dawkins has illuminated with great clarity the change from single celled life forms to the complexity we now witness. There was only one moment in the entire book that had me scratching my head to ask, “Why did the author find a need to choose such a strange comment to make?” That was when Mr. Dawkins wrote something to the effect that bodybuilders were engaged in forming freakishly bizarre bodies. I’ve seen Mr. Dawkins and he should be so lucky as to be half a “freakish” as even the least endowed athlete.

This story has a more detailed plot than what I have heard in the past for this genre of fiction.

I related to the main character and It was a good read.

As a gay man myself and having lived through the same sort of prejudices and circumstances as the book’s main character, I could not be more overjoyed that Mr. Louis has opened his soul to the public in this way.

I am still only at an intermediate level in my French language studies. So, having the opportunity to read something in English which is this close to heart, while listening to the French audio version simultaneously was a real boon for expansion of my foreign language vocabulary, particularly the manor of speaking which deals with taboo subjects and common language of everyday French youth as it was treated in this story.

I recommend this book and the Audio version, both. It was a fascinating and enlightening read.

Very entertaining. But, look out! This might give pirates everywhere a bad reputation. 😁 The different characters' voices were very well done.

Not exactly what I expected from Mr. King

I prefer to spend my time reading works which make sense in some way. Whether that sense is the be able to reasonably imagine a version of the story actually occurring or work that builds from some point and each subsequent piece fits nicely into the preceding sections. But, I am at a loss at the end to understand what was to be gained by spending a great deal of time listening to incoherent (but wonderfully descriptive) words. Sorry for the most part that this was not for me nor was it one of Mr. King's best efforts.
