Historia
Stephen M.R. Covey has made it his life’s work to understand trust in leadership and organizations. In his newest and most transformative book, Trust and Inspire, he offers a simple yet bold solution: to shift from this “command and control” model to a leadership style of “trust and inspire.” People don’t want to be managed; they want to be led. Trust and Inspire is a new way of leading that starts with the belief that people are creative, collaborative, and full of potential.

Technical and practical

Someone else needs to read this author’s work.
I enjoyed Steven Covey’s work, His Son is knowledgeable and capable, and I’m sure is a personable individual. But his reading style is less than engaging.

Historia
For centuries, mystical creatures of all description were gathered to a hidden refuge called Fablehaven to prevent their extinction. The sanctuary survives today as one of the last strongholds of true magic in a cynical world. Enchanting? Absolutely. Exciting? You bet. Safe? Well, actually, quite the opposite... Kendra and her brother Seth have no idea their grandfather is the current caretaker of Fablehaven.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Totally different than expected
Revisado: 06-16-21
I would have preferred to have avoided the language, but I was intrigued to see how this played out. I fully expected an encounter with life on Mars, but, alas such was not the case. Good journey and imagery.

Historia
For all its good intentions, Who Moved My Cheese? basically reduces us to mice in a maze sniffing after cheese. Harvard Business School professor Deepak Malhorta uses a fable involving a different set of mice in a maze—mice who question everything—to help readers see how they underestimate their ability change the rules, overcome the constraints they face, and control their own destiny.

Nice launch
Revisado: 05-27-21
I was intrigued by this title and what it offered. Yet, I was disappointed that it didn’t go into a more in depth discussion on the process and mindset of getting out of the proverbial maze.
It, was a great undertaking.
Enjoy🦅

Drab and disturbing
Revisado: 05-02-21
I could have enjoyed this book better if there was more effort in dramatic improvisation. Multiple readers could have been a benefit, but frankly, one reader trying to delineate several characters, this reader just didn’t have it.
The storyline, didn’t help me understand the history of the concept of the hunger games, up to that ten year anniversary. So, there was a war. OK? One would have expected a timeline of what took place to get us to this point. A brief mention of the key players and how they got where they are? Didn’t cut it.
Katnis Everdean explained in better detail what the hunger games were. This book was an attempt to build from that series, as an afterthought prequel.
Frankly, the other 3 books of the Hunger Games could have been left standing without this one.

The only reason I completed the series, was to follow the progression to its conclusion.
This wreaked of haughty cliquish girl drama.
The only one who showed any sense was icarus. I enjoyed listening to his character develop.
I won’t be advancing into any more that are read by this one.

Is Audible Originals getting desperate?
This one, in particular is offensive.
I was hoping for a lively discussion about Babe Ruth, but what I got was an offensive rendition of those who interacted with him. You could have pulled this story off without the innuendo diatribe.

Historia
If you are a lover of old-time radio and a fan of Orson Welles, you won't want to miss this treasure chest of legendary Orson Welles radio broadcasts! With his flair for the sensational and innovative, Welles captured audiences' attention with his 1930s CBS weekly drama series The Mercury Theatre on the Air, later renamed The Campbell Playhouse, which featured hour-long dramatizations of classic books. His 1938 production, The War of the Worlds (an H. G. Wells adaptation) was especially memorable, as were many other productions, each featuring talented voices and actors.

Revisado: 12-26-18
This is a collection of Orson's Radio Theater work. Most of the productions, I enjoyed, but there were many that I did not get into the story being portrayed. MOST, however, I did.
Orson Wells was a master at his craft, and did very well in whatever he produced.
I do encourage a listen to this collection.

Getting lame
Revisado: 07-17-18
I downloaded this book expecting exciting adventure in Magnus' journeys.
What I got, was rather lame, attempts at juvenile humor, mixed with the story line.
Mr. Riordan? I think you are overworking this theme, and could have completed this book in half the time. However, I am intrigued in your effort to entwine Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase into this story line.
I have to admit, I got bored about halfway through the story, but am intrigued in what the next book has to offer. I really hope it doesn't take 2 years for it to complete.
