Around the world humans are hallucinating after sleepless nights. In a sterile, underground institute the forecasters keep reporting the same events. And in the backwoods of Texas, a 16-year-old girl is about to be caught up in a fierce, ethereal battle. Meet Roya Stark. She drowns every night in her dreams, spends her hours reading classic literature to avoid her family's ridicule, and is prone to premonitions - which are becoming more frequent.

Couldn't turn off!
Revisado: 01-20-20
This book introduces the dream travelers, a society of people who have the ability to are not only able to travel internationally anywhere in the w world but also anywhere in time. The story is told in the first person by a teenage girl who discovers she has this ability. She is recruited by a group of people who tell her that it has been foreseen that she will be the only hope to stop a villain who is causing normal people to have hallucinations. Her own family has fallen victim to this. The characters are believable, reveling through actions and dialog the inner torment that haunts some of them. The dialog reflects the attitudes that are common among teenagers.
Elizabeth Klett does an excellent job giving a voice to the dialog that Sarah Noffke expertly crafted. I started listening to this book in the early afternoon and continued on into the night. The action and anticipation was compelling to the point that I had to keep listening until the end. Ms Klett was perfectly paired to bring life to the characters and events as they unfold as told through the voice of the main character Rya. I would recommend this book to fans of paranormal of any age.

Better than when I first read the book!
Revisado: 03-15-19
Wow! The last book of the original series! I figured I would be down after finishing, having to say a mental good bye to the series that totally changed my reading habits. I've spent the last few years reading and rereading these books.
I first read this book, from start to finish within 24 hours of it first been published. I use to read a fairly large group of different authors, often reading 4 or 5 books a week, that increased to 7 to 10 books a well over the past 30 years after a disability's silver lining was MORE TIME TO READ MORE BOOKS. And Kindle Unlimited gave me the means to explore more books and to discover a love for new genres!
But when I first picked up my first KGU book all that changed! Over the past few years, I haven't read many book that weren't affiliated with Michael Anderle. then a few months ago, my sister introduced me to the fun of "rereading" these books, again, on Audible. I was hooked after hearing Emily Beresford read the first book of the series, "Death Becomes Her".
I had been reading mostly Urban Fantasy and Paranormal books with a little Space Operas and Basic Fantasy for about a year when Amazon first recommended these books to me. I was immediately hooked on the unique mixture of genres and the was Micheal Anderle introduced the truth of where the paranormal world came from. Giving the credit to an allied race rather than mythology or other fantasy beginnings or not angering that question at all in their stories.
Then I discovered the joys of listening to Ms Beresford take the story, i she's is the voice I now here in my mind when I read a Bethany Ann book. She is Bethany Ann! Her voice conveys the straight forward, no nonsense personally of the character. While some of the voices she put to some characters had at first surprised me, but after a moment's thought I realized she had nailed ever one of the character and hey talent of giving voice to the individuals were the result of her coming to know the characters. I especially loved the voices of TOM and Adam!
Plus although I have read all these books many times, the experience of having parts that I may of overlooked or forgot, come to life and often had me laughing out loud again, even louder than the first time I'd read it.
I put off listening to this book until after I got the Dark Messiah series, knowing I would enjoy it more that way.
Although this is the last of the series that I have read repeatedly, in-between taking in the many other books written in this fascinating World that Michael Anderle created. if you haven't read this series, I highly recommend taking the plunge and join in with all the other days who are devoted to everything associated with Mr Anderle. And if you haven't tried any of the spinoffs, give them a try! Not only has Michael Anderle written some spell bonding books himself, but he has chosen authors, all of which have the talent of glueing the reader to the electronic pages from the start until you read the last word of the authors notes. Speaking of authors notes, this is another unique, perk of reading has and his fellow writers books. I won't say that he's the first one to write a note at the end of the book but he is the first writer who had done it in quite the same style. as an avid reader, I have followed my favorites and even meet a couple over the years (50 years to be exact since I read my first adult fiction at the age of 12, and started my "addiction" to primarily historical romances that began with the popular Gothic romances if the time.) Yet, after who knows how many thousands of books that were read over those 50 years, Michael Anderle is the first author that not only made me feel appreciated but also included me the reader, in a way that felt personal, in this awesome journey from wiring his first book to becoming a best seller on Amazon and changing so many lives for the better, along the way. This demonstration of his appreciation of his Readers continues as he takes the time to read his authors notes himself, includes us in the fun of his interactions with his fellow authors (especially El Leigh Clark), and his joining his friends on his Facebook pages.
Now I'm excited to go on to listen to Ms Beresford, once more, bring Bethany Ann and Michael to life (I love his "vampire" accent. makes me wonder if he had been the influence for all the vampire movies in Mr Anderle's KGU world?). I've been enjoying the Kurtherian End Game as I tried to catch up on my TBR list. Listening to these and other books in this universe, was a tremendous help during a hospital stay and the resulting recovery. I guess you could say I've become hooked on listening to these books on audible! I had other books for years that is pick up here and there. But I can honestly say that most didn't have the magnetic talent to get me to listen to them except maybe when driving. now, thanks to Ms Beresford and Michael Anderle, along with my Alexa Echo Devices, I can listen to my favorite author as I do my chores, enjoy my meals, and even in bed before I go to sleep. Keep up the great work, it's really not supporting to see the many books in his universes show up on Amazon beat sellers list! Now I'm doing in to the first of the End Game books on audio. can't wait until I hear Emily Beresford bring the new characters that were talked about in this book(don't want to give a spoiler of this book). To the outstanding talent both visual in the credits and those behind the scenes who all work to make these best selling books come to life written on our Kindles and then brought to life in our audible apps, keep up the good work and the talent you are s-o-o-o known for . . . and continue to provide us with the awesome entertainment that keeps coming at the a rate that provides something new to sink our teeth into and satisfies out hunger for really good escapist literature!

Enjoyed the book but this is icing on the cake!
Revisado: 01-09-19
I have only recently started to listen to books I have already read. Most of the books I had listened to previously had been books I hadn't read yet and I saved them for when I would be in the car, since that was one of the few times I wasn't reading. But I have discovered the wonderful experience of listening to books I had read multiple times. It amazes me how much depth the Audible recordings give to the books I have already read.
Emily Beresford does an excellent job bring life to the outstanding books by Michael Anderle. Her ability to change her voice, giving a different voice to each of the characters, along with the accents for the many noon American characters. dispute having read these books at least 3 times, some even more. often things I had forgotten are reminded of.
have found that listening to these helps time go by when doing chores like washing dishes or mopping. I was especially thankful after a recent hospital stay, I was not able to read due to some medical problems, listening to this one especially helped me get through some long hour of not being able to do any thing else. have already started the next book on y Alexa echo Dot.

Edge Of My Seat
Revisado: 09-10-18
It doesn't matter if you've read this book before, even if you've read multiple times, listening to this series with the words written by Sarah Noffke and read by Chris Abernathy will have you sitting on the edge of your seat! Especially love his rendering of one of my favorite KGU characters , Hatch, that now that I'm reading the newest series that he is also featured in, I hear Chris's voice in my head each time Hatch speaks. Listening to this series is definitely worth your time! An added benefit of using Alexa's Echo Dot in listening distance of most of my rooms, I can take the story with me as I move room to room doing my chores. I'm not admitting anything, but this book may have something to do with my chores being done more thoroughly lately 🤔! LOL I was almost at the end last night as I finished up the dishes and found myself deep cleaning the stove while I continued to listen. Anyone who really knows me will confirm how unusual this is since I hated doing chores any longer than the minimum! But there I was, cleaning out the stove for the third time this week! lol Highly recommend this book both to read and then to listen to.

Marvelous!
Revisado: 08-27-18
Even though I had already read the book a couple of times, listening to Kate Rudd read it added so much to the experience. The Nomad series has long been favorite, every since the first book was published. While I wasn't totally new to Audible books, I use to only listen to them on the rare occasion I was going somewhere that I would be in the car more than 5 minutes. But with this book, which I had been listening to on the way to a doctor's appointment 20 miles away, hooked me so completely that I continued to listen to it after I got home. Craig Martelle's writing is always fabulous, and since first reading this book, I've gone on to read just about all he has written. But his books written in the KGU are my favorites with the sensational Nomad Series being the top of the heap in my opinion. So, seeing the lower price on this book I decided to purchase and now will probably be going on to listen to the rest. (in the meantime, have discovered some of his short stories on Ear Crush! And I'm filling in with those) Kate Rudd makes the story come to life with her ability to give distinctive sounds to most of the main characters. (I'm sure I'll hear her voice in my head every time I read a Bad Company or Nomad book in the future! 😉) If you are looking for a great post-apocalyptic book to either read or listen to, look no further! This is a great book that can be enjoyed even if you haven't read any of Michael Anderle's Kurtherian Gambit Series. Just know you can't go wrong with anything with Michael Anderle's name on it whether as the author or a co-author! Not only that, the genres vary, paranormal, Syfi, fantasy, space operas, and more, often crossing over to include multiple genres making them all totally unique and enjoyable!

LIKE THE FROSTING ON A CAKE
Revisado: 08-02-18
When I originally read this in format, I was hooked and knew that this was the perfect beginning of a new series. Think is the first book I've listened to by Chris Abernathy but it won't be the last. I loved hearing the voices he gave to the characters in the story. When listening to a book that I enjoyed as much as Formation, there's always the hesitation that the performer might not understand the characters that have become some of my favorite book friends. But there was no need to worry, from the action that started from the first page, Chris immediately hit a home run. I loved hearing the little things that I forgot from my reading, brought to life in a higher and better way! From the first reading, I knew that the Ghost Squadron would be series I would love as much as I have loved Michael Anderle and Sara Noffke's other books. And I always love adding a new author's to my TBR list, because J. N. Chaney''s other books were definitely going to be added.
Jule's was a Minor character in the Kurtherian Gambit Series who stood out, someone Micheal developed who seemed to be crying out for her story to be told. I was looked listening to Chris further developing the characters as he read. I will definitely be telling my friends how awesome this Audible version of Formation is!

Had seen so many people in book groups recommend this series as their favorite I Deeside to use my free book credit to give it a try. I started out thinking I would just listen to while driving or doing things around the house. It didn't take long before the story combined with the quality of the narrator drew me in and I was listening to it during my usual reading times. The ending left me craving for more!
