Magical story!
Revisado: 01-19-25
Loved the storyline. If you love animals this is a great story about adopting and seeing beyond beauty. It also teaches about forgiveness and the magic we hold inside our hearts. The narrators did a great job and so did the directors. The narrators were on que with the emotions and the way they read their parts. Would have liked the ending to be a little more in detail but otherwise it was a great audiobook.

Excellent!
Revisado: 06-27-24
Sherry Thomas does it again! You have to really pay attention to all the details since there are so many things happening at once. Ms. Thomas also goes past and present in this book, but as always, she is able to explain every little detail and how the pieces all come together. The author is so talented! I can’t wait to hear the next audiobook in this series. Well done Ms Thomas!

I am one of the few people on this earth that has not seen A Wonderful Life, so I enjoyed it. It was interesting from the women’s point of view and really loved the ending. Even though some parts are predictable, it’s still a great audiobook. The performer was great and I enjoyed all of her voices.

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

Surprised!!
Revisado: 12-02-23
I was totally astonished with this story. I thought it would be a bland book, but to my surprise it was very entertaining and kept me wanting to listen to the end. I am a cozy mystery type of person and was afraid I was going to be bored with this book but it kept me intrigued in some of the little mysteries that some of the characters had. Also it was very relatable to the feelings people may have when presented with some of the problems some of the characters had. This book is more than a rom-com it has issues that are discussed such as divorce, feeling guilted by parents, pressures of children wanting to succeed, and more but I don’t want to give anything away. It had some bad language but just a few times which I appreciated because sometimes in life, you are frustrated enough that sometimes those words let you blow off the steam you are keeping inside. It didn’t take away from the book nor did it have any raunchy sex scenes, which I also appreciated. I read a book for the plot not the language or sex scenes. I also liked the narrators. Normally I don’t like different readers, but in this book it helped the book come alive and the narrators were spot on. They really did a great job getting into character. The only negative thing is that I wanted more after the end. Maybe it is being saved for a second book?? Fingers crossed! I will definitely be reading the other books by this author.

At last!
Revisado: 09-20-23
It was an interesting book with the type of mystery they were investigating. Glad for Alfie. Happy to see that Sgt. Wilson also has a love interest. Looking forward to the next book with more details of love and happiness and of course some kind of mystery! Of course the narrator made it all come to life with all of his different voices. Exceptional!

Excellent start to a great series!
Revisado: 03-25-23
Fell in love with this story. I love the way the author is consistent with her characters throughout the series. I started by reading the Jayne Frost series and listening to this story you can see where all the characters intersect with the series without missing a beat. The narrator for this story is excellent. He truly knows how to differentiate between all the characters he has to do. The story is good but the narration is what makes it great! Thank you!

Really enjoyed the storyline and the characters in this book. Hope the author continues to write in this series and hope the same narrator continues to read the books. I fully enjoyed the j retraction between all the characters and the mystery was good. Kept me guessing who the killer could be. Thanks!

Amazing!
Revisado: 11-27-22
All 10 books are worth the read/hear! I’ve heard them three times in audiobooks and honestly have to say it’s my favorite series! The writing is spectacular and the narrating is just as great. So many stories intertwined throughout the 10 books and the ending explains it all. All of the characters are entertaining but my favorites are Aunt Cass and Adams… Hope you enjoy the series as much as I did!
