Great 50 minute over view
Revisado: 12-09-22
I haven’t studied this area in about 20 years and needed a quick framework for going back into the study. I found this to be entirely understandable which for a period of time this long is amazing

Just sticks in my head.
Revisado: 12-08-13
While this book is a definite lightweight in the genre of zombie fiction, it's such an easy and fun book I've come back to retread it multiple times. The protagonist is female and both not so masculine I can't relate or so girly I want to root for the zombies. Women in her world do some incredibly stupid, fearful, and hurtful acts so there's no bias towards women over men in the book. I would say it's not as gruesome as some of the books. Basically a really fun read.

Historia
Here on Earth, Danny North is still in high school, yet he holds in his heart and mind all the stolen outselves of 13 centuries of gatemages. The Families still want to kill him if they can’t control him - and they can’t control him; he is far too powerful. On Westil, Wad is now nearly powerless - he lost everything to Danny in their struggle. Even if he can survive the revenge of his enemies, he must still somehow make peace with the Gatemage Daniel North, for when Danny took that power from Loki, he also took responsibility for the Great Gates.

Preaching aside, a great read.
Revisado: 12-08-13
I have a big soft spot for OSC and will read (listen) to anything he chooses to offer. Danny is a fun character, but far too inclined to review the morality of his decisions in his head as he makes them, making the point so dang clear it's like being hit by a hammer. If you can stand that then it's fun watching OSC playing with magic and a different take on "the gods".

A review for those red neck readers like me
Revisado: 12-08-13
I allways struggle with reviews for "Literature" as opposed to a good read, I know I lack the gland needed to understand the posh books. But for those of you out there who know the answer is 42, I recommend you look elseware. The first 50 pages recaps a famous baseball game between the dogers and the giants, I struggled through that only to find out it was the prolog, I only made it a hour or two past that so if some greatness comes later I missed it. But here is one example: why does the main dude only want to fuck the nineteen years old more as he grows to hate her? Is it supposed to be saying he hates himself, or he fucks hatefully so he limits himself to those who deserve it? So he either thinks he's a schmuck or is on the look out for people he thinks are schmucks. Either way I don't want to know him, I guess you could say I'm a red neck reader, somewhere well out side of great literature.

Lifted straight from the books that define fantasy
Revisado: 08-24-12
Ms. Britain owes royality payments to all the "great" authors who defined, and define fantasy. As I read Ms. Britians i found my self so distracted, thinking "that's from Tolkien" or "Terry Brooks did a much better job of that sceen", that I couldn't let myself get in to the story. I found the toons flat. And the sceens, walking through a hall of the dead is not scary just because dead people are there. The one reason to read the book is the meeting with the Berry sisters early on. Overall I feel ripped off in that I paid a credit for this book.
