Historia
War makes strange bedfellows. I, Gaius Domitus, one-eyed rebel dragon king of the Provinces, know that better than most, since I have to fight off half my ungrateful family on a regular basis to keep law and order here in my lands. But I never expected to have to consort with a barbarian human woman. Kachka is beautiful, if you like them fierce - and of course I do. But she keeps complaining about how spoiled and decadent I am and how a feared Daughter of the Steppes has no time for foolish dragons.

Narrator is so annoying...
Revisado: 12-09-19
I love this series and have only continued listening since I like the stories. The reason I am especially annoyed with the narrator is: Seriously, if she's narrated the last at least 3 books, can't she get the pronunciation correct of at least 3 of the main characters??? I mean, the Miranock (Mee-ran-nock - originally, to My-nock; DAgmar to DOgmar; and Veragus to Fergus). What the H*ll!! It's so annoying. One would think if the same narrator (who I dislike compared to the narrators of the first two books) can't even remember how SHE enunciates names, well...she needs to brush up on her skills. I only continue to listen because I really like the stories and this series. I rarely leave reviews, because I listen to so many and I don't have time to write what I'd like. I'm in the middle of this book, but I couldn't stand it anymore and had to write this one.

So enjoyed this book!
Revisado: 03-19-18
I love this story. I haven't written a review for any book I've read. mostly because it's time consuming. I am for this one because it's worth it. I love Thea Harrison and really like Sophie Easton's narration of all her books. This one is well worth the credit. I listened to it in one day while rearranging my house. I even stopped to just listen at times. I'm looking forward to the next and going to download it after submitting this review!!

I love this series...already!!
Revisado: 04-19-17
What did you love best about Halfway to the Grave?
The characters, "Kitten" and "Bones" are so engaging. Among the best I've heard. I've listened to other audio books and liked them, but I really love the honest way Bones tells Kitten how very much he loves her. It's raw and beautiful, with no games being played. I also enjoy the playfulness with which Bones engages Kitten.
What about Tavia Gilbert’s performance did you like?
I thoroughly enjoy her ability to transform the characters in the book into real people. Her accent for Bones is awesome. I like it when I listen to a book and can tell each character by how the narrator voices the character.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Bones told Kitten he loved her.
