GOOD READ. WISH IT WAS LONGER

I am an active duty Marine and I believe that this book should be on the Commandant's reading list. if walls could talk, I can't even fathom how much talent and combat experience has been lost just because one officer, SgtMaj, 1stSgt, GySgt, SSgt or NCO was simply a dick

Historia
With its brilliant and brutal portrayal of the Corleone family, The Godfather burned its way into our national consciousness. This unforgettable saga of crime and corruption, passion and loyalty continues to stand the test of time, as the definitive novel of the Mafia underworld. A #1 New York Times bestseller in 1969, Mario Puzo's epic was turned into the incomparable film of the same name, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. It is the original classic that has been often imitated, but never matched.

a classic sci-fi story. entertaining and intriguin
Revisado: 08-15-16
the only confusing thing about this book is trying to understand how the empathy box works. some of the parts are confusing and its gets a little difficult trying to figure out what's going on. Philip k. dick does an excellent job of painting a dystopian future and creating a believable subculture of social taboos involving animals and caring for animals. such subtleties add to the atmosphere of the story and help to immerse yourself in the story.

Not enough emphasis on guns germs and steel
Revisado: 04-22-16
the book focuses too much on New Guinea languages and farming. the title can be misleading and that you think it talks about diseases and military technology and conquest but really focuses more on farming, population density and interaction between people of different factions. also focuses a lot on geography. a more appropriate title would be craps language and geography

STUDY YOUR EASTERN EUROPEAN GEOGRAPHY
Revisado: 04-18-16
Would you try another book from the authors and/or Mikael Naramore?
Yes.
Would you be willing to try another book from the authors? Why or why not?
Yes. Really informative
Which character – as performed by Mikael Naramore – was your favorite?
n/a
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes. If they can display the struggles from the individual soldier's perspective.
Any additional comments?
You need a really solid understanding of Eastern European Geography to fully appreciate this book and visualize all the maneuvers in the locations the author describes. Without a clear map in my head it was tough to focus on what the author was telling.
While there is no denying the atrocities committed by the NAZI's this book really makes you cringe at some of the strategic blunders made by Hitler. I was expecting more of description of the individual struggles and innovations implemented by small unit leaders and the individual soldiers as a result of supply and manpower shortages but this book is describes innovations and adaptations made at the general grade officer echelon of command.
Not bad though
