Historia
Commodore's Messenger begins by taking the listener into the life of the first family of Scientology in Australia: Yvonne and Peter Gillham and their three children, Peter Jr., Terri, and Janis. Life for the Gillhams is not without its challenges in Australia, but nothing compares to what happens when the family moves to England after dealing with the banning of Scientology in Victoria. Things spiral out of control, as Hubbard leaves England and takes to the sea.

Heart wrenching book
Revisado: 03-27-19
Heart wrenching book - that really shows how awful L Ron Hubbard was. Creating fear from the top - he showed little empathy to his staff and fellow Scientologists. If something didn't go his way, people would pay.. new orders created.
What this family went through tells the reader Scientology has been abusive from the beginning.
I highly recommend.

Exceptional book told by a passionate individual
Revisado: 02-09-19
I can't say enough about Leah Remini. Although there have been plenty of activists before she shared her story and there will be more to come, I admire the courage she has shown. The book goes into great detail of her life in Scientology and her great tale of leaving. If you know anything about leaving the Church of Scientology, it's a very difficult thing to leave and even more difficult if you have any kind of celebrity status as they will do everything in their power to bring you down. Remini uses every ounce of drive and care to to help bring forth the truth for herself and every survivor. I highly encourage any newbie to listen, you will truly be awe-struck.

Gripping from beginning to end
Revisado: 11-07-18
A love story from the ashes of Scientology. Michelle tells with such conviction her story of a failed marriage she was pressure into, losing everything she had worked so hard for, but ultimately gaining the love of her life. This book truly paves the way for future survivors leaving similar high pressure experiences.
