Fun Little Reverse Harem Story

I’m enjoying Ms. Vale’s Bridgewater Series very much as I crochet. I’m disappointed with the continual mispronouncing of certain words, such as chemise, lave, etc. However, if Ms. Stewart, the narrator, is going to mispronounce words, it would be nice if she stuck to the same mispronunciation instead of deciding to change them in the SIXTH book. By the way, it’s pronounced shuh-meez. Thanks.

Great Storyline

I’m addicted to audiobooks. I listen anywhere from 6 to 14 hours a day, every day. The narrators of this series were good, however the editing was non-existent. Each time a narrator would make a mistake, or perceived to, they’d repeat the sentence with whatever correction they felt needed. Unfortunately for this series/boxset, the previous “oops” was left in as is. It causes the flow of the story to become disjointed and distracting. Disappointing.

Such a fun, funny and fast-paced

I love each book in this series. However, with this title the use of music in between chapters is not only jarring, it’s disruptive to the story. Also, the narrator speaks too quickly at times. It’s wonderful that she’s got that Jersey accent.

What a Fabulous listen!!

I’ve read all of Anne McCaffrey’s books, multiple times, but have now been listening to them as I crochet. Fortunately, so far, I haven’t run across any Pern stories that are abridged. Yay! for audiobooks!!

Thank you AGAIN for adding more to the characters of the Kid Sensation series! Mouse’s story was/is so mysterious in the main story, teasing you with hints of who and what he is, that you just WANT more!

Great Super story!

This was a wonderful story, in essence comic book, with a fun group of kids.
Mr. Hardman I was wondering about some of the verbiage you used. For your target age group some of the language seems a bit advanced. Is it your intention/hope that the kids who read these books will grow their own vocabulary by reading them? For instance “nonplussed” towards the end. I myself am 54, raised by, then raising my own son as voracious readers. So it tickles me greatly that you haven’t “dumbed down” the language. I was just curious. Looking forward to the next story in this series!

Oh my Gosh! LOVE!

My intro to this TKG series was the Storms. I HAD/HAVE to get them ALL This Boxset is just as fun, engaging, heart-pounding and emotional! At first I was disappointed that Gabra wasn’t the narrator, but ultimately it was the perfect change! I LOVE that the blend of characters occurred, giving that cohesion to this unique universe! Thank you all, Justin, Michael for writing and Tim for narrating.

Anne McCaffrey cannot go wrong, tho I’m not a fan of abridged adaptations. So much of the details are simply skipped. You get the sense of the story, just not the depth. Still, it fills some crocheting time.

One of my FAVORITES

I cannot tell y’all how MANY times I’ve read this book, and the next 2. Anne McCaffrey has been an amazing friend for years, through her characters and storylines. It’s only recently that I’ve discovered the wonder of audiobooks.

The narrator had good characterization, her reading speed was quick which was mostly awesome, tho occasionally slurred together. Also occasionally sounded like she wasn’t quite facing into the mic. But overall well done and I’ll DEFINITELY be listening to this trilogy again and again!
