Historia
An ordinary parking lot in southern California. Christine Scavello and her six-year-old son are accosted by a strange old woman. "I know who you are," the woman snaps at the boy. "I know what you are." A scream, a threat - and then a grotesque act of violence. Suddenly Christine's pride and joy, her only son, is targeted by a group of religious fanatics. They've branded him the Antichrist. They want to kill him. And they are everywhere.

absolutely the worst narration ever
Revisado: 10-23-13
I read this book years ago and enjoyed it well enough. Not his best but worth the read. On the other hand, this was the worst narration I've ever suffered through. Her voices were pretty good but the rest grated. Having said that, I'm still glad I bought it.

Historia
Tory Bodeen grew up in a run-down house where her father ruled with an iron fist and a leather belt - and where her dreams and talents had no room to flourish. Her one escape was her neighbor Hope, who lived in the big house just a short skip away, and whose friendship allowed Tory to be something she wasn’t allowed to be at home: a child. Then Hope was brutally murdered, and everything fell apart.

one of the best narraters I've listened to
Revisado: 10-03-13
Although the story was very good, the narration was incredible. I rate Dean Robertsons narrative right up there with Frank Muller. I've listened to this book several times simply because the reader is so impressive. I have no idea why she got so many bad reviews. If you do listen to this book, beware, I've tried repeatedly to find more books narrated by Dean Robertson only to be taken to books narrated by Robertson Dean. I even tried to get audible to help me (no luck). Anyway, this book is a worthwhile listen.

Historia
Savannah “Van” Leone has loved Peter since the day they met. The problem is, Peter has loved Van’s best friend, Janie, since the moment they met. And now they’re walking down the aisle, with Van standing nearby in a Halloween-orange bridesmaid dress, her smile as hollow as one on a jack-o’-lantern. After the wedding Van drowns her sorrows in Kool-Aid-vodka cocktails and reruns of Rin Tin Tin, and does what any woman in her situation would do: She buys a German Shepherd over the Internet.

every once in awhile you pick up a book not expecting to much. It was a most pleasant surprise at how very much I enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to hearing from this author again. Highly recommend this listen.

don't miss out on this book!!!
Revisado: 11-15-11
I have been waiting for this book to come out in audio for years. I thought about waiting until I finished listening to the entire book before writing a review, but didn't have the willpower. Anyone who likes sci-fi will love this book. Although is is an older book it is so well worth the listen. It has everything a good book needs; it pits the forces of good and evil against one anther and is superbly written. I can comfortably and with confidence highly recommend this book. Thank you audible for bringing it to me!!!
