Historia
In addition to being among the most celebrated of contemporary filmmakers, Quentin Tarantino is possibly the most joyously infectious movie lover alive. For years he has touted in interviews his eventual turn to writing books about films. Now, with Cinema Speculation, the time has come, and the results are everything his passionate fans—and all movie lovers—could have hoped for. Organized around key American films from the 1970s, all of which he first saw as a young moviegoer at the time, this book is as intellectually rigorous and insightful as it is rollicking and entertaining.

I want Tarantino to do this for every film.
Revisado: 03-14-23
I loved reading this, and even more so, enjoyed watching the movies he speaks of through his eyes. I don’t look into movies the way he does, so each time I watched a movie after reading his take, it was like a new experience. I wish it had been Tarantino reading the whole time, though.

Adrift in a raft after a deadly ship explosion, 10 people struggle for survival at sea. Three days pass. Short on water, food, and hope, they spot a man floating in the waves. They pull him in. “Thank the Lord we found you,” a passenger says. “I am the Lord,” the man whispers. So begins Mitch Albom’s most beguiling and inspiring novel yet.

What a terrible waste of time
Revisado: 12-05-22
This was a terrible waste of time. The story felt like it was going somewhere, but just ended up being 4 hours of boring religious propaganda.

The narrator really ruined this one
Revisado: 05-17-22
The story was enjoyable to hear. It was very matter-of-fact and didn’t have much in the way of poetry, but it was enjoyable. Whoever did the narration couldn’t keep the sound anywhere near the same throughout the entire recording. It was really distracting and at times extremely annoying. This book definitely needs an update as far as narration goes.

What an amazing and beautiful story!
Revisado: 09-29-21
I was blown away, not only by the amazing story of Jewel’s life, but by the gorgeous flow of her writing and poetry. The moments where she sings to you, with no backing instruments are also well worth the price of the book.

Historia
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.
