This was a beautiful piece and causes to me to want to meet her as well as watch her work. I now want to see the actress who shared her story, to know the real life experiences going on behind the scenes and connect to her. I'm grateful to have walked through her story in her voice. I'm 41, this book has changed my belief in myself

i started this book a few years ago but i want ready to believe what it has to say. i wanted to believe it but i had some healing to do first. This book, especially the LIFE statement portion, has affirmed my future. I've wanted to figure out what I'm supposed to do and I've tried to figure it out through many jobs, college, volunteering, counseling and so much more. But this helped to clear away all the fluff and options to identify the core of my purpose, so to speak. I have been doing much of it right along, but after this book and the study guide, I KNOW what direction to head in and the professional goal to pursue.

I'm glad I finished it

This engaging story of generational hurt and healing touches close to home for me. My heart ached for the characters as they misunderstood one another, licked their wounds and longed for restoration. I am reminded of the importance to share our hurts, questions and concerns, not as a method of control but to understand and be understood. This would be a fantastic read for people in a hurting relationship to consider a willingness to be vulnerable and honest.

Exactly what I've needed to redirect myself

The narration of this book is easy to listen to.
The message of this book is necessary for every person though the content is directed toward women.
We know we can all greatly benefit from being less self-focused, self-motivated, self-centered, self-loathing. Sharon's book was far more useful and inspired better introspection than I had expected; it's also clear the author truly has journeyed through this process to a great depth. And she continues to do so.
I will likely return to this book numerous times to keep my focus on Christ and see myself as God intended me to see myself.

Impactful, freedom from religion

I have read many books on faith, self improvement, loving others and self and on relating to God. I have struggled with many relationships, the greatest of which is myself. I can't explain inside of a conservatively sized review the impact of this writing. But it is one of few that I will pass on continually and periodically read again.

I enjoyed most of this book. It is a good, honest look into the process of changing your own life. It can be really hard but possible if you stick with it, whatever you are working to change.

This book is very informative and holds useful information for everyone, literally. From the rich to the poor, highly educated to the uneducated, the information in this tool should be in every home, degree program, social service provider and boardroom.

Lifelong Useful Tool

I have gone through this book 5 times. I stop and practice what I am reading. I review many times and ask God to change me deep within, the foundation of my beliefs. God is using this to change me for His glory. I have more joy and peace and my marriage is healing.
