Just too much sex....really

I like the storyline and enjoy the interaction of the characters, however, I find the ongoing, way too often, graphic sex just a waste of my time. On with the mystery....pass on the obnoxious constant sex. I wouldn't mind a bit of it but it's just too much...I fast forward past it and don't miss a thing.

A little hard to follow at times

Fun to listen to, but sometimes the narrator is hard to hear and sometimes she reads it a bit fast and things get switched to being a different person with no explanation. But I did get hooked on them and would listen to more if available. And also agree that with all 10 books being one right after another with no visible breaks, it was hard to know when one ends and the next begins.

Mixed feelings...narration voices were distracting

I have listened to many, many of Wanda's books but it's been a little while. When I started this one, as soon as Rhonda started talking I was taken aback. Rhonda is 35 years old and not some old lady. I'm visualizing her as an old bag instead of younger. Frankly it's the exact same voice as the nosy neighbor across the road in the Robin's Greeting and that series. It was annoying in that book too but the character was different. I listen to my audio books at night on a 30 minute timer as I fall asleep. Sometimes I start the stories up again, but I don't on this one. I'll listen to the samples on the rest of this series and if it's the same narrator, I will pass.

I am only on chapter 11. The narrator goes WAY too fast. I miss what is said and then have to back up. Why so fast? I sure hope the rest of the series is not like this one.

Narrator offputting

Loved the storyline and the characters. Loved the setting and not an obvious whodunit. However, after listening to many other Amish story audiobooks, I found the narrator a bit much at times. The intonations at many of the ends of the sentences were annoying.
